Good luck Shock! I didn't bet the side and just took the total. Early in the week, I took Utah St. at +7.5 for one of my Beat the Prick selections, but as the week wore on, I liked that pick less so I just laid off the side as far as money and posting the pick on my thread. Like youl, I think this game will be scored in the 40's. GL to you and BYU but they have never done me ANY favors.

1) Tennessee pk at Cleveland (-110) - Did anyone see Miami's Daniel Thomas run all over Cleveland last week? Imagine what Chris Johnson can do!

2) Miami +7 at San Diego (-115) - Sparano is 12-2 as road dog in Game 4 and beyond.

3) Detroit +1.5 at Dallas (-110) - You may want to sprinkle some on ML as well as this is my upset special. Also, Detroit is 5-1 after they play Minnesota and at 2-1 on the season actually have a decent team and I feel wrong team is favored as the go against a banged-up Dallas team w/o Miles Austin and a hurting Felix Jones

4) New York Jets +4.5 at Baltimore (-110) - Baltimore has been up and down this year and oh btw, are 0-4 as favs before a bye week.

5) Kansas City +4 vs Minnesota (-105) - Is KC worst team in league? Maybe. But KC covered last week against San Diego ON THE ROAD and only lost by 3. When Minnesota played at San Diego earlier this year, they lost to them by a TD. Now KC returns home and Minny travels. I like the Chargers to keep this game within a FG.

6) Cincy +4 vs. Buffalo (-105) - Buffalo is 1-5 after playing the Patriots AND 1-4 as non-div conference favs of 4>pts.

7) Oakland +7 vs New England (-105) - Besides Oakland being a good running team this year behind McFadden and Co. and New England having a horrible defense

4-3 on the day and a 6-5-1 weekend. Better days will be ahead that is for sure. Still up postive units and will post Monday Night Football pick later today.

Tonight I am going with:

Indy/Tampa Bay under the total of 40 for the game for 1 unit.

I just can't stomach taking either team in this event but I do think that if Indy's defense plays like it did against Pittsburgh, it will be a low scoring affair. Painter as the QB for Indy spells trouble (which is why Collins was signed in preseason to begin with) so perhaps interceptions and sacks on BOTH sides of the ball tonight. Tampa Bay wins 13-6 or something like that.

Gonna try to get back on a winning roll tonight. Hope you all had a better weekend than I did. Atlanta was looking great until halftime and I had placed the Houston wager before Al Davis' death. Oakland played inspired football and I have to give it up to them. Can't explain Ohio State. Didn't see them covering AT ALL, and don't get me started on the Giants. What a menagerie that defense is. One week they look awesome and then against Seattle they can't stop em.

Early lean for Monday Night Football:

As I cap this game tonight, I am liking the Bears more and more. I think Detroit is a bit overrated and although I have cashed in with them earlier this year (vs Dallas most recently as my dog win of the week), I don't think they cover as the home fav. Right now the betting public is on Detroit at 70% and my book has Chicago at +7! To me, that is great value and I don't think I can pass it up. Will let you know later what I decide for sure, but I like the Matt Forte vs. Detroit run defense matchup and with Devin Hester returning kicks, he is always a threat to score.

So right now the only play I have is a prop play (thanks to House and friends) for:

1) Will there be a score in the first 6:00 of the game? Yes for -120 at 3 units. This prop has gone 6-2 in the last 8 games in games that these teams have been a part in.

I was liking Chicago earlier, but their shaky offensive line has me wondering if they can run the ball effectively. Is this a trap game as some books are even going to Detroit -8? Be right back

Shock, I hope you did better than I did this past weekend. I sure could use that drink right about now. LOL
Picking 50.6% on the year and only down slightly more than 4 units so not toooo bad. Alot more of the season to go so I can still get my bankroll back but I have had some awful luck and piss poor capping:

1) South Carolina game - 4 seconds left and Mississipi scores Safety resulting in loss

2) Hawaii game - Something to the tune of 12 turnovers kept that game from going over the total

3) Illinois/ Ohio State - So how does an Ohio State team that only scores 7 points at home against Michigan State go on the road against an undefeated Illinois team, ranked in the top 20 and BEAT them outright?!

Ok, we shall prevail my friend and get them back starting tonight!! Also, I have a feeling that I will be having some luck getting some of my money back with my baseball picks. St Louis has been doing well and I have them picked to win the series. GO CARDS!!

Ok guys. I know this is a square as hell bet, but I just don't see Matt Moore doing ANYTHING against the Jet's defense tonight...in NY. Yes, Miami is off a bye and the last 6 games have been close with five of them within 7 points or less. But how many of them had Matt Moore as the QB? NONE! That being said, I don't think this is going to be a blow out because Mark Sanchez has not impressed me much either. So, here are my two picks for tonight:
