Gambling God is an interesting tool.

For some reason he can't comprehend that we actually have points in the SBR Sportsbook. He has chided me for not having any SBR points, but a few weeks ago I had a casino badge for a 6300 point win. GG really isn't that bright, and as Ebb pointed out...he too has 9K points in the sportsbook here.

Oh well, the more he posts, the more entertaining my thread gets.

That's a tough game to handicap because I just don't know how good or bad the big east is.

Rutgers has a freshman QB in Nova, but he has done what has been asked of him. Navy led Rutgers by 10 in the second half---and lost. And Navy hasn't been able to stop anyone-----Southern Miss had almost 600 yards on Navy, as did Air Force.

I think Rutgers is so-so, but I certainly don't think Louisville is a world beater either.

I actually like FIU to cover and probably get the outright win. I watched them earlier in the year beat Louisville and I like T.Y. Hilton. If Carroll can get him the ball early and often, I think FIU scores a bunch of points. Arkansas State gives up 222 ypg on the year and that bodes well for the Panther offense. Aplin is a good QB for the Red Wolves, but he also has 8 picks on the year. I watched him play as well and he trys to force the ball too much instead of letting the plays develop all the time. If he is patient, he can be deadly (66% passing for 1,646 yards) but the 8 picks scare me. I see a fairly high scoring game with FIU on top. GL to you.

I think Grey nailed this one. FIU seems like the play. They looked pretty athletic against Louisville----and I guess you can expect that from a team loaded with Florida high school talent.

I would probably have made a play on it, but there were 4 other games that I just liked more.

Thanks Marty! I couldn't agree more regarding Florida high school talent. A big reason why for a long time Florida colleges (Miami U, Florida St, Florida) were so formidable at one time or another were because of the local talent they were able to recruit and keep in state. Speed and athleticism. Whether it be Tim Tebow for Florida, Michael Irvin at "The U", or Deion Sanders for Florida State, the list goes on and on.
