I like Nebraska. Their corners are excellent and K-state's QB sucks, so they can stack the box against the run to stop Thomas.

I was originally all over K state as the home dog, seeing they both have solid D and they both are 4-0. Then I look a little closer and see that though K State ranks pretty high in total D, their rush D ranks 103rd in the country giving up 196 yards per game. Seeing as Nebraska ranks 3rd or 4th in the nation in rushing with over 300 yards per game, i started to change my tune on who should win this one. Also, K State only managed 17 pts in their last game against UCF. Not sure if you watched UCF last night, but they do have a solid D, but I don't think it is the caliber of Bo's Huskers, so now i'm starting to think that K State will be lucky to get two scores.

I think Nebraska has a huge edge in the trenches and it can be tight for a half, but eventually the lines will get worn out by Nebraska and they will be able to advance to a 14-21 pt lead. Nebraska D also averages 1.5 TDs per game, so a defensive TD could also be the difference in this cover.

I'm considering a hedge type bet of Nebraska and the under thinking that if K State D is able to hold, then maybe they can stay within the 10, but if not, they will not and lose by 14-21.

I'm actually taking Nebraska and the under, because I do not see K State scoring more than 17 on Nebraska, which means the under looks mighty good, especially for those of you that think K State is actually going to cover. The only way i see this going over is if Nebraska blows this out at which time I still at least have my Nebraska bet, but my score prediction is 28/31 Nebraska to 13/14 K state

I mean if they can stop the run on 1st down and put Martinez in 2nd and long 3rd and long situations they might pull the upset because Martinez can't throw the ball. I don't care how many passing yards he had in highschool, I've watched Nebraska 3 times this year and he can't throw it.

Could a Freshman win the Heisman? Denard might need to either get hurt or lose 3/4 games but Martinez looks good. I guess he could work on his fumbling and needs to face a team with a solid run D to get a better idea.
