College Football Chalk Parlay on GUARANTEED Wins

I'm thinking of eating some chalk in college football and throwing together a list of 6-10 teams that will win easily to put into a parlay. I know a lot of people don't like this style, but I think there is a solid chance at making some money here.

Feel free to comment on any of these or add in any of your own. Here are the games I've picked as pretty much guaranteed wins:

120 Ohio State* -10000 vs Ohio
133 Alabama* -1900 vs Duke
146 SMU* -1900 vs Washington State
152 Oregon State* -1100 vs Louisville
158 TCU* -1500 vs Baylor
166 Kentucky* -2800 vs Akron
183 Boise State* -2400 vs Wyoming
202 Texas A&M* -4000 vs Florida International

Also took a look at Penn St., but don't know if I trust a freshman QB on the road- and I'm not really sold on Penn St. Also, Virginia Tech...but after that horrific loss last week it's hard for me to be confident in them.

Taking a look at the lesser of the chalk: Wisconsin and Florida St stand out to me as solid picks for this parlay. Stanford, Utah, UTEP?

I would be very very very careful about that TCU v Baylor game... Robert Griffin is a dangerous player and Art Briles runs a scheme that is tough to defend against...If TCU even remotely sputters on offense it could be a huge upset... Also this actually a old huge Rivalry game from the SWC... the schools do not like each other at all...

Penn State plays at home. They will beat Kent State by 30+

Well right now you are betting 100 to win 34. So you're at a -300 line. I would personally take out the Baylor TCU game. Replace that game with Utah (-1600) and Adding Stanford (-800) would get you up to a -210ish line.

I guess it depends on how much you are betting and how much you want to win. A friend of mine employs this method with some success. The key is to pick closer moneylines so your break even point lowers, or deal with the fact that if you do lose, it will take 2-3 wins to balance it out.

I prefer to play 1-3 actual spreads, and then play a 3-team 10 point teaser. I find a (few maybe) spreads that I really like, and then tease down some totals. A trick for that is to not tease down a favorite that is less than 10 points, because you lose value crossing the PICK line. I try to look for key numbers (taking a 7 underdog to a 17). I find that a lot of the totals in college are soft, while the spreads in pros can be easily picked apart with a tease. You can find some decent teams catching 17 or more with the tease in the nfl this week.

Thanks for the opinion and information on the Baylor vs TCU game, I will remove that one. I wouldn't do a 100 to win 34, I am going to add in a couple of lesser MLs to increase the payout. Here is one that I just put together:

This parlay pays out even money. Adding Penn St and Utah would boost it to 1.3 to 1.
Dropping Florida St (the least of the favorites) and adding Utah and Penn St would make it a 0.83 to 1 payout

I follow Florida State religiously. I went to school there for two years, and then transferred out. Last year FSU physically dominated BYU. They controlled the line of scrimmage and ran the ball down BYU's throat. BYU has shown this year that they still have problems stopping the run. They lost their QB in Hall, their 2nd best receiving threat in their TE Pitta, and they lost their 2nd rb in Tonga. Their QB situation has been in flux, as neither player has played his way into a starting role. I think FSU will pull this one out for you, although I will not personally make any play on it.

As for Oklahoma, don't let that Utah State game fool you. The Sooners are legit. The spread is questionable, but ML is good to go. Air Force will NOT beat them

Louisville looks decent as well as Baylor (although they played 2 cupcake opponents- but they do have a standout QB). Are TCU and Oregon St safe plays here? Opinions on which is the safer play?
