This time last year no one had heard of Dareius. So who is the guy on Bama's D that will be the next big name? I really feel the special teams will be their Achille's heel. That is the area that was hit the hardest.

They were going to have to replace 9 players on defense before the loss of Dareius. This team is going to have a lot of problems this year. An old fraternity brother and good friend of mine is the associate ad for football media relations at Bama. Rumor has it that Julio Jones was at that party as well. The NCAA is looking into UGA now as well. There are quite a few teams in the SEC that are going to be hit hard this year, but none more than bama.

First of all, NO SEC team is going to be hit this season. It is way too late for the NCAA to gather the information, convene court, and hand down sentences that will affect the play of this year, unless the sentences are minor, such as a 1 game suspension. That means a player like Dareius would not be able to play in the opener against San Jose State. Now that would really affect 'Bama's ability to win that game, wouldn't it? Georgia opens against Louisiana (formerly La. Lafayette). Florida opens against Miami (OH). Ofcourse all of these games are at home. Now the team that could feel some pressure is South Carolina, who opens (at home, naturally) aainst Southern Miss. At least that gme is currently lined.
