Loving my GAMECOCKS at 2nd in east. New 5 star running back, great returning recievers, Defense is always pretty good, comes down to if QB Garcia can finally have a breakout year. Go Cocks.

I predict Bama goes 9-3. Losing to UF, LSU and either Auburn or Arkansas. I'm going with Arkie or LSU to win the West.

UGA and USC will both be better. UGA 9-3.

Its all about the Offensive Line for the Cocks...

Really surprised that Bobby Johnson hung Vandy out to dry like that.

Liked him at Furman. Think he did about as good a job as he could have done at Vandy. To quit less than a couple of months before the start of the season...just doesn't look good...

Yeah i think i read that The O-line gave up more sacks in the SEC last year than anyone else.

I would put auburn ahead of ole miss and arkansas. People really need to review the Arkansas bowl game vs East Carolina. If Mallett does not make better decisions, Arkansas will get crushed this year. Arkansas will blow out the small schools but look for a lot of losses this season. They have been figured out.

Everyone is selliing Georgia short. I am not. Georgia finished 2nd in the East. South Carolina finishes 3rd. Tennessee a distant 4th, assuming that they do not lose any more players. In the West, Alabama wins rather easily. I can see Arkansas finishing 2nd. Auburn hosts LSU, so I will give them the nod for 3rd over an LSU team that has too many disadvantages to seriously challenge Alabama or Arkansas. Mississippi and Miss. State battle for 5th.

Johnson left when he did on purpose, he wanted the remaining staff to have a shot and his assistant to have a year of coaching. by him leaving when he did he ensured this because Vandy has no time to hire anyone new

They have a pretty tough schedule for a team that only returns 9 (3 offense 6 defense), and must replace their entire line and QB.

Oregon, Florida, @ LSU, @ Georgia, Alabama, and @ South Carolina are probably all losses. They should win the rest of their games. Even if they win @ South Carolina you're still looking at only 7 wins unless they pull some upsets. If they can win 6 games and get a bowl game in a transition year, UT fans should be happy.

Hoopsters, Bama didn't lose as much on defense as you might think. They have talent backed up there. A lot of those players played significantly the past couple of years. Their biggest question mark should be special teams where they lost the return man, the place kicker and punter. Not to mention at times last year the special team coverage was iffy.

Marcel Dareus was just ruled ineligible for the season. Had the most sacks on the team last year, and was the MVP of the BCS Championship

I do see them covering quiet a bit whether they win or not. UT has just always been a team that does well in an underdog role. It doesn't happen that often, them being DD dogs, but they have an incredible record in that role. All of this going back to Phil though, it just depends on how much of a motivator Dooley is, and I think he will play that part well. He understands SEC football, he grew up living & breathing it. That fukin Kiffin was the worst fit for Knoxville possible.
