NT lost a ton of guys to the portal and has 50 new players. Indiana returns 4 OL from last year and their RBs are actually more explosive. Indiana WRs are also dynamic. They have Charlie Becker, Nick Marsh from Sparty, and the kid from Michigan that was hurt last year. He was their 2nd leading WR 2024. Indiana scores at will plus a score off special teams or defense. NT also has Indiana's old QB from their previous coach. Jackson was a 4 star at Tennessee before coming back to Indiana. He has a big arm. I see Cignetti leaving in Hoover all 3Q to get him up to speed in this offense.

2) Two QBs departing were pretty good. Top-pick Mendoza...and Mestemaker taking cash at OklaSt.

The thing is those I've watched Hoover for 3 years. He was forced to get in alot of shootouts at TCU so he made some mistakes, but he's accurate and he's about as mobile as Mendoza. I was betting Hoover passing 2 years ago and cleaning up when he had Bech at WR. Who ironically plays w Mendoza now. 4 OL return and Charlie Becker/Nick Marsh are rated as the 4th 5th best WRs in cfb

I was listening to some Coll FB talk. Mendoza's rise was truly meteoretic. He didn't look that sharp in pre-season camp.

Cignetti is maniacal. I really think he's re-set the bar. Some coaches are more than happy to just take the $$.

Haines is outstanding as the D coordinator too. They're rarely out of position and they stunt and blitz enough to keep the oline from wearing them down. Miami got to us 2nd half, but Beck did what he does
