#108When are you going to update your results? Arn't you the person who make a huge wager on a hockey game and lost it? If I recall, it was something like 6K on a team that eventually lost to the Pens in a shoot out. You took the ML. I can try to find the post. It may not have been in here, but I remember it distinctly.Comment -

#117I know it is early but who you like in the Arkansas / Ole Miss Game. I got the line early and got Ark + 5. I have seen them both play a couple of time this year. I think Arkansas wins here out right. Ole Miss O line is shaky at best. Every time Snead has faced an SEC defense he has look horrible, gets happy feet in the pocket and make many mistakes. Arkansas has improved over the past few weeks and beat an overrated, but undefeated Auburn team, then played Flordia very tough. Myabe I have missed something here and I just see the Hogs being the better all around team.Comment -

#118And just where did you place this 6 point teaser for 3300? What book? I want to see there limits. And how come you will not wager with me? Could the answer possibly be that you do not have any amount of money near what you claim to have? Someone asked you why you were chased out of other forums. You denied being banned. Care to explain?
You also claim to wager at Pinnacle. Are you trying to tell us that you wager at Pinnacle, a book that does not accept U.S. wagers? What next? Are you going to tell us that you are a Canadian? You have a lot of explaining to do. I can easily find out everything about you, from your real name to your gaming habits, so why don't you be honest with us. I have called you out time and time again to wager with me, but you refuse. Well, I am calling you out again. Pick your teams and your lines. The lines had better be legit or else. I will fade teams that I do not agree with you. Pick your price. Now again, Put up or Shut up. Either you have it, or you don't.Comment -

#119i think its a bit excessive to post the entire record and explanations and stuff. Its just too much junk in each post and it seems a bit insecure to have to say its not your full bankroll and that your record includes dog losses. Cause really, who cares? you're playing for money, not respect from a bunch of online idiots.Comment -

#120keep up your hard work josh. I've been trolling this forum and others for years to mix and match my info and picks with others. I never post my picks or info. I've chosen to make a comment here because Mr. Chicago just really gets under my skin. You sir post annoying pointless comments in several cappers threads for no reason at all. You never post your own picks or reasoning or anything productive really. U just make random comments bout how good you are, how smart you are and how great your "crew" is. You sir are a HATER. It's annoying. Stop it.Comment -

#124GL Josh..I am on the same side with you on the game tonight and also have the over.
On a side note...I am tired of all the bashing that goes on this site. The last time I checked no one is holding a gun to there heads to follow your picks or even read your post for that matter. I just seems that when anyone makes a post or give "THERE" insight to a game the wolves are waiting to jump on it, no matter if it be, line, money waged, time of post and so on. I thought the main goal of this sight was to post insight to games in order to give everyone an edge on the books. It you appear to me that if the "WOLVES" less time trolling through the posts to bash and such and more time capping games and doign research they would be making more money...but wait...isnt that why we are here..to make money
....novel idea i know..anyway I look foward to your picks for the week and each week. I know I have made more than I have lost tailing you and at end of the day that is my goal to MAKE MONEY. It doesnt matter how much you bet or not, we are here to make money. Just my two cents and I am sure "THEY" will bash on me for this..but so what....GL

#128Originally posted by josh hamiltonI have decided I am just going to lower the amount of money on bets Monday-Friday until things are different.
DAYS LIKE THIS ARE VERY HARD TO DEAL WITH .. but I know this weekend will be great and this is still books money so I am not stressed. Thanks to all good comments though.
1. The day of the week is meaningless noise. Anybody who is good enough to say I do better on Sunday's than Thursday's is chasing rainbows. A game is a game, and what possible difference could it make what day of the week it's played on.
2. Anytime you lose it is your money--no one elses. To say "it's the books money" suggests that it's OK to lose because you were ahead to begin with. What if you were behind and then took a bad loss? Who's money is it then?
If you're going to lower your bet size, perhaps you should do it because of over diversification--not because of a certain day of the week. On the weekends you play primarily football--pro and college. During the week you play football, baseball and hockey--maybe therein lies your problem--if you even have one.
What would you say if you did well on the next two weekdays but had a bad weekend? If you're a solid hockey, baseball, pro and college football handicapper then stick to what your are doing and take the good with the bad. If on the other hand, one or possibly two areas are much stronger than the others, then it might be a good idea to drop the bad and stay with the good. Otherwise, just keep on doing what you're doing.
But lowering your bet size during a bad run is never a bad idea. You could employ a partial Kelly (I use a 1/4 Kelly) to determine bet size. When winning, your bet size will increase, and when losing it will decrease.
Day of the week shouldn't even be a factor.Comment -

#129Gotta disagree goat. These weekday games get so much action because they're played during the week. Last nite might be a bad example but Tulsa vs UTEP or Rutgers vs. Army, get no action on a Saturday but everyone bets the game just because its on TV and it's the only game on. Maybe a better qualifier for a smaller wager would be "would i bet this game if it was on Saturday?" Another college capper I follow on this forum applies a smaller wager on all weekday plays and for the most part I do the same. These weekday games tend to be a lil crazy. Betting NHL is a totally different story. I don't follow so I don't bet. I would assume JH does.Comment -

#130The past two NCAAF games this week are games that I would not have bet on during the weekend, but since it was the only game on and I spent some time trying to handicap the games I was lucky enough to go 1-1. I was on NC last night and Utep the night before. I think the weekday games often have the sharpest lines and are hard to handicap, there is for sure an advantage to having more games to choose from on the weekend. NC sure did shit the bed last night, anyway I really like your michigan st. pick this weekend, go get em.Comment -

#131This is the whole idea of having weekday games. You guys just have to wager on them. That is what Vegas calls "meat". You just can not stay away from these games. T-goat is absolutely correct. When we play our futures, do you think that we give a crap about what day the game is on? And we play a hell of a lot more money than any single person in here. We just take what looks like a winning wager. No one cares about what day the game is on. If you are so weak that you have to have a play on every weekday game, that is on you. That is what pays for all of those neon lights and pretty cocktail servers in Vegas. Now there are certain cases where you can get screwed on a weekday game because the line can be easily manipulated by wiseguys or a book, but that can be accomplished just as easily on a Saturday. Just look at Florida-LSU. Who made all the money in that game? The wiseguys who manipulated the line and ended up with a middle, just like we, and a few others in here, did. If you have to play every wekday game just because it is on T.V, you have a serious problem.Comment -

#132Josh, you neve give a reason for your wagers. Why the big wager on Michigan State, when all signs point to a MSU loss? Is there anything that sticks out to you in this game, or are you just guessing?Comment -

#135Josh, you never told me why you toolMichigan State, which was a losing wager as I told you it would be. I post all of my plays on my spreadsheet. I am now 14-5-2, a record that you could never come close to acheiveing. You also never answered my question about wagering at Pinnacle, which you hinted that you do. You also refuse to wager against me, which is smart on your part, but makes you look bad in here. Time to answer up boy. Forget about the Michigan State game. You lost that. But do you wager at Pinnacle, and do you have enough balls to wager against me? I doubt that you wager at Pinnacle, but will know for sure in a week or two. I know you do not have the cajones to wager against me.Comment -
