Wow...if this is it, this may be the week the system takes it on the chin. I don't know about these. I'd definitely see if these lines hold steady. What has Rice shown to be favored by a fg over anybody? It's like the old mafia technique to to bet the line up only to hammer it down.Comment -

#326i've been using this method to pick most of my games the past few weeks with very good results. i haven't read the thread in awhile so i don't know overall how every single pick has done, but once you get a feel for the good plays it almost feels unbeatable, even with the occasional loss like the one i'm about to experience with san diego state.
i'd like to thank cakas for shedding some light on this. utilizing these plays, good rlm plays, and a few of my own plays, i've done a lot better in college football than in the past. i haven't even seen a lot of these teams play and couldn't name a player on most of the teams, but this shit is winning and for now that's all that matters.
once basketball season starts to get rolling i'll definitely be looking at the smaller mid-major games a lot more than in the past and see if these same types of rules or guidelines apply with the same type of success. i know tpowell said it helps him in those kinds of games, so i'm looking forward to diving into that as well.
i can say that for right now i'm a little worried that it's just too easy to be real, but then i remind myself that most of the world is generally comprised of idiots who can't apply themselves to even the simplest of methods, and then i start to think that maybe it can be this easy. i've even tried to share some of these plays with buddies of mine and they don't seem to care, even if the plays end up winning. a lotta people don't want to bet on these games, which is the brilliance of the whole thing, i guess.
anyway, thanks cakas. this has been a major boost for me.
anyway, carry on.Comment -

#3273-3 this week if u played all 6 games.
Texhooper, ur thoughts identify pretty much my exact thoughts when I first started realizing the potential of this system. It took some real convincing and hard first hand proof to get my buddies to realize that this works. I struggled with myself when I first started using this method but eventually I said "screw it, this really works no matter how easy it may seem, it just works plain and sipmle". I don't have the time or patience to cap one game for hours. With this method I've had perfect weekends this season just selecting a few of these plays in 10-15minutes!
And yes, I think u would be happy to know that I applied this method on Friday to NCAAB and went 8-2 picking sides AND totals of 2+ pt shifts of all games, excluding top25(sides). And I know I didn't post the picks or anything but feel free to go back and check out the line movements from friday of the following games:
Sides (3-2...excluded top25 teams):
Miss -14 W
UC-davis -1.5 L
StBonaventure PK W
Oregon -21.5 W
Dartmouth +23 L
Totals (perfect 5for5...all games included with 2pt+ movement):
AppSt/NC-Wilm U154
Greensboro/Duke O134
Idaho/Utah O12
9.5
Gtown/Tulane O124
ClvSt/StBon U135.65
Obviously the method must be tweaked because we don't have all week to watch lines so I basically have used my judgement to place a cutoff point of what I feel is valuable movement. Sorry to everyone who feels this method is subjective , because right now, at this stage, it is. If someone can use this info and create a better philosophy that doenst include subjectvivity, then by all means please do! Also, for those eager to bash the college bball picks for not having them posted before the games, please save ur energy and checkout the line movemnt first...we all know how this thread initially started with comments from ppl to lazy to checkout the line histry for themselves. Anyways, good luck to everyone. This will most likely be one of my last posts in thbis thread bc I just wanted to use it to identify a method and make sure that everyone understands it and can apply it for themselves. if anyone still has a question of how to apply it feel free to let me know but from the looks of it it seems like most people get it. Good luck!Comment -

#329the subjectivity is the key to the whole thing. there are very few, if any, "play every game that falls under these parameters" type methods that produce regular plays and a winning percentage above breakeven. if you play every one of these cakas-style plays, you probably will break even over time, just like if you play every game with rlm. you just have to reach a point where you say, "no i will not play baylor plus anything against texas, i don't care about the reverse line move". or in the case of this system, "no, i will not play arkansas state on the road". you will see how it works eventually. it's honestly been really fun, the part where you start to realize things and learn things and shit.Comment -
