if I had any type of lean at all I'd give it to you...I don't though bro...many I respect are on Nebraska, but most of the forum players are on Nebraska too and that is often scary...the game screams no play to me...Comment -

no opinion on that one...don't like going against Urban Meyer, but I don't want to lay that kind of road chalk in an emotional SEC tilt...GL

#139Colorado State +6.5
Perception, as my good friend voiceofreason likes to say, is a key element in handicapping college football games. This game is very much about perception as many people think Utah is a similar team that they were last year. While I think they are a solid club, they are nowhere near the team they were last year, especially after losing star running back Matt Asiata for the rest of the year to an ACL injury. Many people also saw that Colorado State lost to an improved Idaho team on the road last week, but I watched the game and Idaho played their asses off and in my opinion CSU has nothing to be ashamed about. Colorado State plays a lot better at home and Steve Fairchild’s squad will supremely motivated to play conference foe Utah this week. CSU is getting good QB play from Grant Stucker (54.8% comp., 10 TD/ 6 INT). He has two reliable backs to hand off to in Leonard Mason (4.8 ypc., 1 TD) and John Mosure (4.6 ypc., 2 TD). CSU has had seven different players catch touchdown passes this season, led by WR’s Rashaun Greer (19 rec., 21.2 ypr.), Dion Morton (12 rec., 19.8 ypr., 3 TD) and Tyson Liggett (13 rec., 14.2 ypr., 2 TD). CSU’s balance on offense should allow them to move the ball more effectively than most people would think in this game. I’ve seen Utah’s defense this year and it’s not the same unit as last year’s, giving up almost 20 points a game (remember that their opponents include SJSU, Utah State and Louisville- all offensively challenged clubs). It’s going to be a lot to ask Utah QB Terrance Cain to go on the road and put the team on his shoulders with this being only his second ever road start. Can RB Eddie Wide step up in Asiata’s absence? I’m thinking it will be difficult to duplicate Asiata’s production which means Utah will have to rely more on their passing game. CSU will have to eye Utah WR’s David Reed (26 rec., 13.8 ypr., 2 TD) and Jereme Brooks (14 rec., 13.6 ypr. 3 TD), but I feel they are up to the task. The bottom line for me is that I see a good deal of value in getting a motivated CSU team at home getting almost a touchdown and I will ride with them this week.Comment -

#140Michigan +7.5
I’m not sure about the rest of the nation, but as I watched last week’s Michigan game I was extremely impressed with the grittiness of this team, particularly with QB Tate Forcier. I was very young with Fran Tarkington was playing for the Minnesota Vikings, but when I watch highlights of Tarkington play and then watch Forcier play their styles are very similar. I’ve said before and stick to the belief that having a mobile quarterback in college football makes an offense so difficult to defend, because most defenses don’t account for the quarterback. What I mean by that is that it’s usually eleven defenders on ten offensive players. Rich Rodriguez’s spread offense worked masterfully at WVU and has really started to show promise now at Michigan. He has recruited athletes who fit the mold of his style of offense, and has a couple of holdover running backs from the old regime to help create more offensive balance. While I expect RB Carlos Brown (7.6 ypc., 3 TD) not to play much in this game I am hopeful that Michigan Brandon Minor (5.1 ypc., 2 TD) will make his first start of the season. When fully healthy, he is one of the best running backs in the Big Ten. QB Denard Robinson (5.3 ypc., 3 TD) adds an interesting dimension to the Michigan offense, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see times where both him and Forcier are in the huddle together this week. What I didn’t realize until last week is that Michigan has some really good young WR’s. When I see a veteran like Greg Matthews sixth on the team in receptions I know the guys in front of him are pretty talented. Michigan has had seven different players catch passes thus far this season showing the depth of the receiving corps. I am very much aware that Iowa is a solid defensive club but I’m not sure they have faced an offense with as much potential firepower as Michigan’s. I also like Michigan’s special teams play, their field goal kicker impressed me last week in addition to their other units. Much has been made about Michigan’s defense, but I see the weakness in their defense not in their run defense (which I think is quite good), but with their secondary. Iowa QB Ricky Stanzi (58.6% comp. 8 TD/7 INT)is terrific, I won’t argue that, but he’s not the type of guy who’s going to bomb 40 throws in a game. Iowa plays close to the vest and with Michigan getting these type of points I am fully confident they will be in this game heading into the fourth quarter. Lastly, I like the situational spot of this being a nationally televised night game. Throw in some rain and some wind and the edge goes to the dog in what should be a classic Big Ten battle.Comment
