Tcu -4 was all that stood between myself and a 6-teamer...tho it did have 3 fairly expensive ml favs in it. Still would have been a nice hit for me on a crappy day. Never seen a team blow so many gifts like that and still win a conference road game over a good team like that. Just wish those scrubs would have cashed on one of those gifts and covered the 4.

WEEK #11

Week #11 provides us with a real challenging line up. These games however caught my attention at first glance:

Penn State -5 at Indiana
Penn State has the top rushing defense in all of College Football, and Indiana can only run the ball, as Indiana has to play a true freshman QB that cannot pass the ball at all. He was 5 for 15 this past week against Michigan State.

Memphis -7 at Temple
I have watched Temple several times this year, and they are terrible and regressing, but they have caught a lot of breaks. In there win against East Carolina, Temple had only 135 total yards against a very poor East Carolina defense, where as East Carolina had 428 yards in there loss.

SMU at Tulsa -11
Both bad teams, but Tulsa is very capable of putting up points, something that is impossible for SMU

Connecticut -3.5 at Army.
Again both bad teams, but Army is worse with losses to Yale, Kent State, Wake Forest, Rice, and Air Force this past Saturday. In there last two games Connecticut has played well at East Carolina, and they beat Central Florida at home

Louisiana Monroe at Appalachian St -3
Appalachian State can put points on the scoreboard, something Louisiana Monroe has a problem with.

Air Force -6 at UNLV
Air Force is a much better team offensively, defensively and on special teams. UNLV defense 126th in rushing yards given up, Air Force 21st in rushing yards gained. UNLV is also giving up on the average 36 points a game, and this is against very average teams, as they have not played a top 25 team other than Arizona the first week of the season which they lost by 45 points.

Toledo -13 at Kent State
Toledo is averaging over 500 yards in offense a game, 257 yards passing, and 248 running. There defense is horrible, but Kent State is just plain horrible, averaging a measly 14 points a game on offense, while giving up 29 points, and now they are facing the powerful offense of the Rockets from Toledo.

Baylor +6 -116 at Oklahoma
Baylor has a great opportunity to win the game straight out, so I will gladly accept the 6 points.

Well first off, wtf does caught your attention mean? Are those your plays or not? and while the several weeks(and 1 week it looks like you've had another dud in there) have been better, you are hardly on fire and that was what it was going to take every week to come back even to close to even....

Very unfortunate last night with Toledo and the bad weather, combined with losing there QB who was playing very well until he got injured, as this would have been a very easy cover. The back up QB is beyond slow and horrible for the Rockets of Toledo.

Do not think Ball State can stop the running game of Northern Illinois. I have watched Ball State twice this year and have not been impressed. Northern Illinois is also not impressive, but has the running game, and I like there QB.

unfortunately you you can't really fade him because his plays are often so illogical for a long term strategy that doing the opposite doesn't pay near the same- the books couldn't stay open if it did.

a favorite of Urbans for example is to buy a point or to to get to a key number or beyond. One look at all his -125 to -135 plays makes this obvious.

But as we all know, consistently selling the same way(at some books not even possible) doesn't produce the same degree of payoff as it cost to buy that key half point to point and a half. So alas many of his plays can't be truly faded...


but urbans long term strategy, which mostly consists of taking public faves on individual plays and buying points often and then taking those same public faves and teasing them(usually 7-9 pts) is just dumb. Wtf falls in love with buying points and teasing faves in college football?

he would do much better long term, as another poster once suggested, if he actually played true moneyline parlays....throw 4-5 games like Florida-vandy together. That's much better than taking Florida down to 7 pts on 7 different games and then making individual plays like buying Florida down to 14(I just Florida-vandy as an example, pick your own)
