I watched that New England game and what a heartbreaker to be on the side!
I play all the bets I post generally for a dime each, and each week I throw in one or two parlay bets to see if I can hit it big. These are strictly fun bets, nothing more. You have to play big to win big, and anything I choose to do, I prefer to go all out, or not do it at all, be it in my professional life, or my personal life. As far as duplicating my picks goes, yes I do duplicate them, as those are the picks I believe strongest in. I generally will do a dime parlay, but if I do my parlays on Sunday, my money house limits me to a maximum of a nickle parlay, so then I will just end up doing two, and making a couple of changes.

Hopefully the thread can stick to information instead of the bullshit as so many threads end up being, or people making comments of no value or interest. This is why it would be great to have a forum where the originator of a thread has the ability to moderate his own thread, by deleting comments, and blocking individuals from posting on it if he so chooses. I know this can be done, as I have seen it on other types of internet forums.

I do not post my parlay bets, as they are bets made out of fun, hoping to receive a big pay out. The teams I post in my parlay vary as you can see from my posting this week to my parlay bet this week. I even threw a baseball bet in there from time to time, and will also add over/unders as well.Comment -
Urban, I certainly can understand your frustration, but I think to censor is going down the wrong road for many reasons. Keep doing what you do and ignore the clowns or put it into context and enjoy a little jousting on occasion. Yes, a little good natured comic relief is fun I agree, and it is appreciated, but I was referring to the "bullshit" and worthless postings in my previous post. If you are able to monitor your own threads, then you have the choice of letting the "comic relief" postings in your thread if you so desire, but to also have that opportunity to delete nonsense when it calls for it, would be soooooo welcomed.

Did a little more work on MIA/UNC game in a different thread and thought I would throw in here for those following. Stuff gets all spread around with so many threads.
Urban, I like the forum open , but some value to the thought. We all do our trash talking at times. Games, gambling and drinking can be a sh*t show. It would be really nice to have a couple threads locked mod'd by OP. OP couldn't be to restrictive, because a lot of this objective, different views add value, cause pause. I've seen some good guys be on fire or offering real value. They get a little cocky (who doesn't when winning?) and then get attacked by guys just waiting for them to lose.
I liked when guys posted Threads like MIA/NC and kept all their thoughts in the thread. Sharing ideas here works to.

Canes match up real well here.
Yes, Canes are on the road and UNC QB Renner should play. Guy can throw, but coming off injury and going against one of the top defensive secondarys in the country. I bet he wishes this game was against the powerhouse of Mid- Tenn. Heels only cover, i might add.
Canes can run the ball. Heels can't. Cane Rb Duke Johnson is going beast. What did the guy gallop for, 180+ against Wrecking Crew. Johnson thinking of a big day with the nation watching on espn. Heels run D ranked #101. I say why not? QB Morris is a threat and the pass will set up the run and vice versa.
Canes O-line will have left tackle Henderson (susp) and Center McDermott (ank) back and will be stronger.
Canes will control the clock and take away the fans with some big plays. Offense can explode. Renner should struggle against the strength of the Miami pass D. All they have to do is play the pass and Golden will be sending LB's and Corners. No Benard to keep them honest. No way they sit back and let Renner get comfortable.
I like the Canes a lot here. Watched at - 7 1/2 hoping for 7. Grabbed 8 when it looked like it was moving higher. 9 1/2 now.
Bottom line for me, Canes cash tickets, Heels don't. Golden is doing a great job in Miami. Don't be surprised if they aren't playing for a BCS game @ end of season. Can't see them losing here. Canes by 10-14. Lay it if you play it. gl with your choice.

Breakdown of tonight's Miami/North Carolina game:
Miami has surprised me, and is ranked 10th I believe in the country going into tonight's game in Chapel Hill with wins over Florida and Georgia Tech. While Miami is playing with lots of confidence and are on the upswing, playing some very good ball this year, North Carolina on the other hand has been very disappointing this year with three straight losses, including taking a real beat down by East Carolina in Chapel Hill.
Miami has had almost two weeks to prepare for tonight's game, and there high powered offense will be going up against a North Carolina defense that is totally lost, not being able to stop the run, the pass, not getting any turnovers, cannot tackle. They are bad bad bad in all aspects on the defensive side of the ball, which is going to be a nightmare for them tonight, as Miami is very balanced on offensive, with a very good running back in Duke Johnson, and a quality quarterback and passer in Stephen Morris. They also have a very good set of receivers, and an excellent offensive line that is one of the best in college football to protect Morris.
Offensively: the Tar Heels have some very good players on offense lead by one of the best passers in college football this season in Bryn Renner. They also have some good receivers lead by their tightend Ebron, who is tabbed as a first round draft choice in next years draft. In addition to Ebron, they have some very good receivers, who can make big things happen. They are really really lacking in one area on offense, and that is in the backfield, as they have no running game, and have to depend entirely on Renner throwing the ball.
On defense: Miami has been very explosive in getting to the quarterback, and in getting turnovers, and the defense is filled with quality athletes, from the linemen, to the linebackers and secondary. Tonight they will be tested more so than any other game so far this year, especially if North Carolina quarterback Renner is healthy, and gets time to pass the ball, so to be successful tonight the Hurricanes are going to have to put pressure on Renner, as he has the ability and weapons to make it a long night for the Hurricane defense.
On special teams:
Miami’s field goal kicker is perfect on extra point attempts 31-31, and is 3-4 on field goal attempts, making field goals from 24, 45, 35 yards and missing one from 27.
North Carolina’s field goal kicker is 13-13 on extra point attempts, and is 5–5 in field goal attempts, hitting from 20, 21, 36, 35, and 39 yards.Comment -

Illinois also is going to be in a world of hurt if they cannot at the very least contain the Wisconsin ground attack, just ask Northwestern where the Badgers ran for 241 yards, or Purdue where they rushed for 388 yards, or Arizona State where they rushed for 231 yards. The only team that has slowed down the ground game of Wisconsin has been Ohio State, but even at that, the Badgers rushed for 104 yards, as there passing game was clicking, finishing that game with 295 yards passing.Comment -
Was kind of in shock to see it myself...Sheelhouse is not a total bum and they are at home...+14.5 keeps the window open for a backdoor cover for sure...esp if Wisc is all run and they are up 17-20 in the 4th....your 10 seems as solid as gold....but the 14.5 has me on edge for sure.....There is NO DOUBT they run all over them but in the 4th , we may see some 2nd and 3rd strig RB's that come up short on 3 and 4's ect.......If I HAD to make a play on the game I'd still lean wisc....but this is another line that keeps the old rule true....bet fav's early and dog's late... ...Originally posted by UrbanwildlifeHuckleberry Pig,

and that is the Brock Landers factor, as he is a Illinois homer...
That alone is going to take us to the pay window on the Badgers!

As I wrote in other threads here on the forum, I am a believer and have high expectations on the Florida State team, and I would be very surprised if they do not come out with a victory this weekend. They are so balanced on both sides of the ball, and there quarterback is the real deal, with many other play makers on offense. I am not playing this game because it is a game I am actually very excited to watch, and because my plays are not for enjoyment purposes, I am passing on it for the reason I stated.
Washington is a very good ball club on both sides of the ball as you well know, very well coached, and I also look for them to rebound with a victory this weekend. Yes they took a beat down at the hands of Oregon, but who hasn't, as Oregon in my eyes is the best team in the country. In the Huskies loss to Stanford by 3 points, the game was played at Stanford which is a tough place to play. They played a very good game, but unfortunately for them, came up a field goal short of winning the game.
UCLA I believe is overrated. As I also pointed out in another post on this game, I am not as high on UCLA quarterback Hundley as most. Yes he can throw the ball, but the guy has no touch on the ball what so ever. Stanford is not the team they were last year, and they have had two bad games in a row giving up over 400 yards in the last two games to two very good teams in Washington and Utah, but I do not see them losing two in a row, as they are just to talented and fundamentally strong. I also see Ty Montgomery for Stanford having a very big day. One last thing to note about this game is that UCLA is going to be without there best defensive player, Cassius Marsh, who was ejected from last weeks game against California for throwing a punch.
