This guy is an awful coach. I can't believe OU puts up with this garbage.

Stoops has benefited from having great players and assistant coaches throughout his career. Now that the talent level is down and he has lost some assistants, you make see how bad he is at making in-game adjustments.


Mike Leach - Got Tech to #2 in the country
Mark Mangino - Won the freaking Orange Bowl with Kansas and had them in the top 5
Kevin Sumlin - Has A&M relevant
Kevin Wilson - Turning Indiana around.

List goes on.....

If his game plan doesn't work and OU doesn't come out and totally roll teams, Stoops gets tight on the sideline and doesn't know what to do against good teams.

I would say he is a successful coach but is there a coach that has done less with more???? OU has had some great players over the years that have went on to be all-pros in the NFL like Adrian Peterson but we only have 1 title to show for it. Hell, in 2009 OU had 3 players drafted in the top 5 of the NFL draft, not even including Demarco Murray, and we still couldn't win a BCS game.

The 8 conference championships and all the 10 win seasons are nice but at OU we average a national championship every 15 years. Stoops is quickly approaching that. Considering how much he makes, I would expect him to do something in the next few years as I'm sure most OU fans would as well.
