I have a goal---56% for the season.

What Irish doesn't realize that if I go 4-3 over a 13-week season, that puts me at 52-39...that puts me at 57% for the season. I'll gladly take that profit.

I've been doing this long enough to know/understand how promises of 65% are silly.

sam, that was my point. 5-2 = 72%..... if your true win rate is 55-60%, most likely you'll be winning 4 games out of 7. maybe 3, maybe 5. then probability drops off alot.

Truth be told, I made some horrible selections week 1.

I agree. This is a brutal week. The only game that is jumping at me right now is Rice.

I like Louisville too.

After that. It gets tough.

Week 3's is here boys, and now this is when we can start to see where teams are trending.

Cliffs Notes Version again. Mora better coach, 11th year senior Taylor Martinez implodes-UCLA wins a tight one. Louisville-- Charlie Strong's deal with Satan continues to protect him-- Louisville and Teddy B by 3-4 scores--- Kirk Ferentz and his 229 million dollar buyout keeps the pressure off of him, and he manages what will probably be his 2nd and only win this year---this is a battle for 2nd place in the state of Iowa--- Northern Iowa clinched 2 weeks ago. Notre Dame remembers how to tackle and wins large over Division 3 Purdue. UCF--has not been scored on yet, also has not played outside of their high school league in Tampa--- still, they pressure the true freshman QB at Penn State into turnovers, and win in an upset. Illinois. 10 at home. I like it. Rice. Against Charlie Weis. I like Rice.

9ers..... I'll help you out. Boise's DBs are struggling. Badly. Both in pass coverage and in run support. And now they have to face Carr and Fresno State. Huge edge to Fresno State when they have the ball.

Fresno is at home-- they have had 2 weeks off--- a full 8 days to get ready for Boise, and this is Fresno's year. They win tonight, and they are likely to run the table. Their schedule is weak.
