#37Yeah, its an hour away, its a much older relaxed crowd. They've given me a ton of comps out there including flights, but there's really not much to do out there.Originally posted by Vaughanyha yeah, isnt the whole point why its more expensive in actual Vegas because Laughlin isnt in Vegas?! #38Yeah, coming from AZ you hit the turn for Laughlin first. Hour, maybe two closer. But I've never been on my way to Vegas and been like, "The economy is shit, let's value town it in Laughlin." it's Vegas or bust baby! 4.5-5 hour drive, cheap hotels during the summer. Just got an e-mail from LVH advertising $28 a night rooms. Even if you slum it in old Vegas, monorail it and you can get anywhere. I love me some Vegas. I've been there 4 times this year. May have to make a trip to throw some $ on Bendo.Originally posted by Vaughanyha yeah, isnt the whole point why its more expensive in actual Vegas because Laughlin isnt in Vegas?! #39The manager at a book told me that the UFC sends guys to check if they're playing the PPVs. If they do -- they nail them with fines. I guess in Laughlin they "roll the dice".Originally posted by jacktheknifeCheck the sports bars listing on the UFC website. I live in the same county and Vegas is usually saturated. I don't know what Calc is talking about.Comment -

#40What's the policy for UFC PPV's do you know? Does the establishment pay per tv? Per what their capacity holds? I've had managers of bars tell me they usually break even or lose $ on showing the PPV but make their $ in food and bev. I imagine for a sportsbook it would be very difficult with the crowds coming and going, plus the demand to show other games that are on.Originally posted by TheCalculatorThe manager at a book told me that the UFC sends guys to check if they're playing the PPVs. #41The manager told me they pay per capacity. No wonder they don't buy them. It would be almost impossible to recoup unless they killed it on food and booze.Originally posted by El NiƱoWhat's the policy for UFC PPV's do you know? Does the establishment pay per tv?
