Yea, Nedkov seems like value. Hard to say because he hasn't had much competition. But he has the hand power and ground game to at least make this interesting.

Depends on whether you count the vera fight as a win... and his loss to evans was very close. nedkov barely scraped by a shot randleman.

I certainly wouldnt call Nedkov the favorite, just he has potential to pull off an upset considering Silva's last few fights, and I wouldnt consider the Vera fight a win.

thanks to UFC 134 it just feels dumb to bet on a fighter that won't be a fan favorite, i know it's not the case but whatever

Like P.Thiago - He's physically strong in the grappling department and I don't think DHK's hulking size & judo will be as glaring. The cardio differential really cost Thiago the Sanchez fight but few could pressure fighters for 15 min at 170 like Diego, so I consider that a one-off, even though the outcome is completely plausible. Add in Thiago's penchant for finishing and I think it's a great play.

Agree on Danzig - short analysis is Gomi is quasi-washed up and one dimensional, Danzig is a cerebral fighter and won't get lured into Gomi's game.

Also thinking about Le in a judges decision. His strikes are flashy, look like they do more damage than in actuality, and all will garner audience applause. I think the "Leonard Garcia" effect might be in play and in the seemingly likely chance this goes to the judges, Le stands to benefit. Additionally the crowd's partisanship can cause quicker standups/separations, Franklin at 185 could grind it out w/ the size advantage and this hurts that path to victory a bit.

Not touching Silva/Nedkov - I don't think I'd lean towards Nedkov either - in a slugfest Silva is a killer assuming it's not against a guy w/ Gustaffson's reach. Nedkov's style seems like it plays into Silva's game. Also how much is a win vs Cane worth nowadays?
