Bendo averaging -200 now. Anyone think $$$ will come in on Edgar closer to fight night, moving the Bendo line lower? I got him at -175, but some of my friends think the line will improve from -200, maybe even as low as -150 closer to fight night. I think if anything, $$$ will come in on Bendo (the Champion) making the line worse.. Thoughts?

Money will come in on Edgar for sure since Bendo's line keeps moving. Usually this will happen on fight night.(Edgar bettors waiting for best possible line) After Edgar's line moves money will then go on Bendo again, but there should be decent movement both ways. It's hard to predict when the best time to bet Bendo is if that's what you are looking to do.

Unless something significant happens, (information coming out or something at the weigh ins) I think now would still be a good time to get Bendo if that's what you are looking to do. I see his line moving up before fight time then coming down for a bit, but probably not much lower than it is now. I think -150 is very unlikely.

Saw -165 for a second and didn't jump. Seeing -185 lots of places now. The average bettor is going to lay chalk with the champ. Some money should come in on Frankie. Might have to start looking at the Herman fight.

My buddy "BetMasta" was really liking Herman as a nice size dog.. Actually, I guess he was fading Shields more so than liking Herman. I haven't really done any significant research to have an educated opinion on that fight. Although, I prob. would fade Shields against any decent striker, even though Shield's striking against Akiyama looked improved.

I was also liking Herman as a dog. Shield's striking is ridiculously awful. I still don't get how he clipped Hendo. Throws such slow arm punches, lucky for him he's a world class blanket.

Ya man, Shields is pretty good on the ground, but there are some guys that are way better. Chris Weidman and Aoki come to mind. I have always hated on Shields for not being well rounded whatsoever. BJJ is all he has going for him imo.

Good points... Unfortunately our book lags on updates so I prob won't catch any sort of a favorable swing in the bendo line...

Should have played him asap at -170, now he is -190 on my book and I'm gonna pay it.. Like you and others said I don't think his line will drop significantly, or if it does my POS book prob won't catch the update..

Yea def see value in herman at any + odds, I think this line should be dead even and I think herman is gonna put the hurt on shields, especially if he keeps it upright which I think he will as I feel shields' td ability is overrated... Once he gets you down he's one of the best natural grapplers out there, but I see him having a hard time getting a legit grappler and collegiate wrestler in herman down, and therefore I think he smashes and tags up shields on the feet.

                          This is 3 rounds, yea?

must have an enforcer or a cheap shot artist in any reputable crew or camp.

must also have a bird neck or a napolean who likes to instigate shit.

He does look like a bird, people have referred to him as the dirty ostrich (seriously)... you're onto something here, punisher...

and he's about 5'8 and is most definintely the guy to start shit and get a brawl going, unfortunately he has a hard time shutting that big fat bird mouth and can get us all into some shitt. Despite the sucker punch frenzy and in all seriousness though, I will say the guy is truly a pitbull with great natural ko power and I would want him to have my back in a fight to the death over most people out there. But now he's just an old piece of dirt pushing 30 who goes to los cabos bar and grill to start fights with and sucker punch old dudes who get in his way when playing pool, and snag up chunky haggard wenches at the 1:45 am last call.................... YUP...

Dude was trolling and I went for it for a minute, but realized eventually that the dude was trolling. So I schooled him and lit up his thread. Then Sideloaded challenged me to "box" in Vegas. I replied politely and informed him that I have better shit to do than to box his clown ass in Vegas. Serious Legz, he wants to fly out and "box with head gear, or without" end quote. No joke, check out his BJ thread. Yes, the dude made a thread with BJ Penn in the title, yet the whole thread is a troll thread. Anyways, thanks you BetMasta for speaking the truth. I'll be in Vegas, and from what I am hearing, I think the lines are going to be rediculously bad at the Casinos. I am going to check out Binions, Ballys, and then the Wynn to shop for the best lines. Later man.

I.E. is an abbreviation for Inland Empire. It's east of Orange County, CA (where we live) about 45 minutes. Basically San Bernadino or Corona, CA. Ya, I leave to Vegas this Friday, super excited man. I'll be on here posting what the Vegas lines are for this Saturday. Cheers.

Ya man, I like Cerrone for sure. Might be a good prop to do Cerrone by Sub, or Melvin by KO. I can't throw $ down on Donald straight up at -300, I cap him at -220 / -250. He wins regardless though, me thinks. I haven't really done any research for Okami, and I know very little about Roberts, so I can't really make give an educated opinion on that fight. BOL dude.

Shields would destroy Weidman in submission wrestling.

Galvao is considered by most to be number one in Brazil on the ground, and Chris almost beat him with only one year of training to his credit. Completely agree... Weidman's wrestling is on another level, and I think Weidman's top control and front headlock series would easily negate Shields guard.

He was also a divison 1, two time NCAA all American Wrestler in College. Weidman is a beast. You need to read up and get your facts straght.
Almost won? Dude he didn't even bronze (which Jake Shields did). He won a total of 2 matches against unimpressive opponents and then lost to Galvoa and Magalhaes.

Shields also have far more proven MMA-wrestling than Weidman, though Weidman's dominance of Munoz is arguably pretty damn good.

Would Weidman win an MMA match? Maybe? Probably? He'd lose a submission wrestling match real real bad.

Alright, I stand corrected, however I still don't think Shields would "destroy" Weidman in submission Wrestling. I think it would be competitive and very close. Also, remember when Weidman did that tournament, he was only training BJJ for a year. Shields had about 10 years more experience than Chris, when he got bronze. As far as an MMA match, I think Weidman "destroys" Shields in every aspect except maybe BJJ, where they are very close skill-wise. Imo, Wiedman would keep it on the feet, stuff Sields takedowns, and pick him apart. Shields has zero stand up, although I will admit that Shield's standup (or lack thereof) has improved somewhat recently. Also, as mentioned above, Weidman's wrestling has transfered much, much better to MMA than Shields.

Edgar was soo outclassed in the first bout, losing 4-1 on 2 cards and 3-2. He is slower, doesn't hit as hard, not as active with his fist, can't penetrate the length advantage of Bendo, and cannot control him on take downs. About the only chance Edgar has is a few half ass take downs, that amount to no serious control or threat, then hoping incompetent judges give him the fight.
