There's a difference between a sharp win and a square win.
A sharp win is when a fight ends with the correct fighter winning.
A square win is when the judges get the decision wrong.

In Boxing, Pacman losing to Bradley because of judging error. Or in MMA, Tibau losing to Khabib because of judging error. http://hosteddb.fightmetric.com/fights/index/3950

Unless the sharp knew how the decision was going to go. Bradley could have potentially be a sharp play for some and a square play for others.

If there was a sharp side to Tibau/Nurma, it would probably be Nurma. Due to Tibau's lack of aggression, the fight was practically a coinflip. Value seemed to be on the dog. I wouldn't consider laying 2 to 1 on Tibau a sharp play by any means.

I always figured the square win being a win that that you in no way handicapped, like Varner beating Barbosa on the feet.

By the way, why does Fightmetric register zero takedowns in that fight?

How many triangles can you fit into a square? That's what I want to know.

                    because fightmetric is a joke.

they registered 0 takedowns for overeem in overeem vs werdum. that's all the evidence you need to never take fightmetric seriously.

Khabib wasn't a judging error, a lot of people scored it for Khabib, including MMAJunkie.com and myself when watching the fight

                        I think you're confused...
                        It sucks when you lose.
                        It's great when you win.

Reminds me of the recent Prince Albert vs Erik Perez fight.

One triangle + one armbar = one square decision by Kim Winslow.

You are right to some extent but GunShard gave better explanation.
