I dunno. I'm not a big boxing aficionado but, AFAIK, the executioner has never been legitimately stopped ITD (sorry double leg TDs don't count) and he's fought some real killers including RJJr in the early 90s. OTOH, he's old as **** but OTOH Dawson isn't a KO artist; he decisions more high level opponents than he T/KOs.

Hopkins did look like he wanted a way out of their first fight though. It can be argued that he quit like Juddah did vs Khan. I didn't really buy that he wanted to box with one arm after the ref asked if his shoulder was alright and he said no and then the ref said he lost by TKO - looked like he was saving face after the fact.

I'll defer to the boxing sharps though...

I thought when he fought Traver and Pavlik they were strong and in their prime's. Tough bet, Hopkins has never lost by KO, and Dawson has no KO's since 2007

Hopkins hasn't ever been seriously hurt. Isn't Hopkins the same guy who beat Pascal whom Dawson got beat by? Dawson has all the talent in the world and a ten cent brain.

Really? The first time? Pascal dropped him and Bernard was not even hurt. Pascal beat Dawson tho.

Hopkins i way too sloppy the last couple of years. After he is done throwing a punch he drops his hands and stays infront of his opponent or tries to grab him. Against a fast strong counter puncher like Dawson its going to be deadly. You will see Dawson countering Hopkins with his right hook and left uppercut at will

Pascal did have Hopkins on queer street in the 12th round of their second fight.
