    Roy Nelson to Light-Heavyweight Division

    If he gets 200k like's within 2 weeks, he's dropping to 205.

Do they get bonuses for social media in general or just for twitter? If the latter then would of made more sense to say 200k followers on twitter

Roy would get merked at 205. He is super slow.

What top 205er could he beat? Phil Davis?

He would put a lot of 205ers to sleep. None of them will be able to put him away. Shit, JDS couldn't.

I do not know if his power is going to be there at 205. Also, the three KOs in the UFC have been against names that are considered poor chins (Schaub, Struve, and Cro Cop). Moreover, if I recall correctly, Nelson is 35; therefore, his career is winding down. I just dont see him matching up well with the Machidas, Bader, Shogun, Hendo. I think Franklin could even pick him apart

He would put Franklin to sleep, I have no doubt about that. Forrest, too, for that matter.

Point is he fairs better against Franklin and Griffin than he does against Werdum and JDS.

He might not even need to cut water weight to make 205.

This is absolutely devastating news. How is he supposed to be sponsored by Burger King if he doesn't even have the big belly? Furthermore without the big belly he will no longer have a "big country" so he's going to have to change his name and last time they refused to call him "Slim Boy Roy" at both the weigh ins and his actual fights. I have a feeling Bruce Buffer might not even announce his name next time he enters the octagon if Roy decides to cut down to 205. Overall this is a huge disappointment for fans of the belly rub. We are not amused.

I think he will fair well at this weight class.

I think there are other, maybe better prospects to make the cut, guys that currently have nowhere to go on HW, but would give a very good fight at LHW, may be unrealistic but I would love to see Cain going to 205.

Well, its confirmed (or almost) Antonio Big Foot vs Nelson for UFC146, so no way he moves to LHW.

I don't think he will move to LHW to fight Silva, so you're right. The move after the fight is still the possibility we're looking at.

lol roy's chin is 10x better than silva's and roy hits harder than silva

                                you do the math

silva smothering nelson is certainly not the correct answer.

silva looks a lot scarier than he is.

lol there's alot more to take into consideration than just the things you mentioned above. While you are correct in saying Nelson's chin is better, who's to say this will be a standup fight? Silva will try to take this fight to the ground, for his top game and control are his strongest attributes. Nelson's TDD has never been great (Mir was able to take Nelson down with ease), and his BJJ truly shines when he is on top, not the bottom. Also, Nelson's cardio is a huge issue.

Silva's cardio is better than Nelsons??

I don't remember if Werdum tried to take Nelson down... For some reason I remember Nelson stuffing his takedowns...

I don't remember seeing it, but Nelson is supposed to have incredible BJJ. Not too worried if it goes to the ground.

Nelsons cardio has been consistently bad. The way he gassed against Mir and Werdum was pretty embarrassing. He's just not physically fit to excel in this division. Most mid-tier HWs will beat him solely based on the physical disadvantage of all that weight and not much size
