Horrible fight. Wrestling should not be a part of mma especially that kind. That guy did nothing but get take downs than just posturing and literally laid on top of Noons the whole fight. I hate that shit with a passion so bad for the sport.

You and me would not get along.

Only part of the sport that is actualy predictable imo. Makes profitability much easier.

He did mention his fight was "shit" so I guess Youk might be onto something here.

It's not wrestlers fault that fights are boring, it's the guys that can't stuff the takedown or get up from the takedowns that make the fight boring.

Noon should probably be humble and learn some takedown defense instead of touting his pro boxing pedigree.

Still, Thomson was upset at himself and promised never to repeat the smothering, wrestling-centered gameplan he employed in the fight.

"We got the 'W' – that was the important thing," Thomson said. "But I can tell you know you guys will never see me fight like that again."

Thomson is normally a very exiting fighter..so I'm willing to give him a pass on that one.

I put a lot of blame on Noons. I'm not a big fan of fighters who beg to the ref for a standup. In my opinion, what makes a lot of MMA matches great is scrambles. What Noons did was try to stand without creating a scramble. Thomson held him there a lot of the time not letting Noons get up unless he took a risk creating a scramble. Noons trying to stand back up in the safest way possible doesn't leave that many openings without Thomson being the one to take the risk. The onus is on Noons since he was losing the fight.

him sitting there looking at the ref the whole time he was pinned against the fence and rolling his eyes was pretty terrible. ******* move try to make something happen.

Get over it. Thompson has had a string of injuries that has kept him out of the game for long periods of time. Without looking it up I think he has had 5 fights in the last 4 years? He needed this win or his career would be in very bad shape.
