I dont understand what happened to Red there. He got punched a few times and just seemed to quit. For such a resilient guy, (see his fights with Aaron Simpson and Ryan Bader) Red sure looked like a fighter with no heart or cardio.

I know, I don't get it. I was almost sure Rivera didn't have the power to put him away.

I feel like the UFC gave him an opportunity to bounce back with an easy win, and he blew it. This should have been easy for him, stylistically. He deserves to be cut.

Absolutely, in his previous fights, he faced superior competition and took a beating, but showed incredible heart.

This fight was a gift of sorts from the UFC, an aging striker he could out-grapple. Red had plenty of opportunities to finish but was overly aggressive and blew it. Same goes for Morecraft. Good riddance to both.

I feel a soft spot in my heart for Morecraft. I feel he put his all into that fight, and I sure as hell don't feel the same for Schafer. Morecraft really impressed me, man, I have to say. I really love that guy now and have become a fan. Just everything leading up to the fight and the fight itself- he showed heart and some pretty good skills. He doesn't have the best chin, but he's got great heart and has talent. I would hope he doesn't get cut. I'll be rooting for him to get a win, should he get another opportunity after this FOTN performance.

Yeah he did a lot better than I imagine many thought he would. He also showed a lot of naivety (his lack of experience shone) when looking for those submissions..and in the process f****d up my Morecraft by Sub bet! Especially the first one where he had Barry's back...was almost like he thought the hard work was done by getting Barry down and now all he had to do was choke him, without any consideration of position or getting the hooks in, or even any GnP to soften him up. Was sheer over zealousness I guess - Morecraft just wanted to end it quickly and impressively, and it's easy for me to say now, but I think the better option would of been to batter Barry with some GnP initially (like he did against Struve) before looking for the choke. After taking a few heavy blows from somebody like Morecraft I doubt Barry would of been so composed with his sub-defence.

Talking about that mans belly, he seemed to have slimmed down, lost some bodyfat. Good for him. Maybe that FOTN award saved him from getting cut.

Looks like I'm going there in March for spring break...personally wanted to do LA/Vegas and San Fran but looks like we're doing tht later in year or 2013. One of my buddies went Cancun last year...said it was decent but bit of a rooster fest full of wannabe Urijah Fabers!

Yeah we've done Ibiza and all the other main Euro spots plenty of times. Done Puerta Banus (Marbella) every year since I was 14 as my best buddy has a villa and apartment out there. Went Sharm-El Sheikh last November...time to go a bit further afield!
