I am hoping Jared Papazian is a HUGE underdog. I think he's got a real good shot.

Another newcomer, but this dude I know. He trains with Gamburyan and Ronda Rousey

Ugh I understand the difference. I just don't see why you can't just post all your plays like V, Hoff, whoever. They are very organized and clear in their documentation. It makes you look shady and dishonest in comparison.

I think documentation of my plays are pretty clear in my threads. It's just that I don't keep them all in one thread. I enjoy starting a new thread every time. I don't wanna be stuck in one long ass thread. I might have thread-a-phobia.

Big Day doesn't have a thread. He does it like I do it. Shares his plays from event to event.

If I did 1 thread like the other guys, I would miss my random thread subjects/titles =/

Don't tell me you didn't get excited when you saw that your Cousin Gabe was in town with his UFC 142 picks!!!!!

Those titles are very fun Gabe. They lighten up my bleak, soulless days.

Also Big Day doesn't claim to be the most successful capper here. And, he gives us picks with insightful analysis. Big difference.

He's talented, has good footwork, but his conditioning kinda sucks. He tired out early against Bloodworth, but still managed to get the KO.

I think Papazian has several advantages, but so does Easton... at a big dog price, Papazian would be a beautiful play. He's gonna drop to 125 after this fight and be a force in that division, but I think he leaves 135 with a win. He'll tap Easton out or judo toss him down against the cage and beat him against it. I can totally see him taking a decision or pulling off an armbar or something.

So Easton by TKO? Got it.

Regarding Tavares-Stout, by NA MMA scoring that was a razor thin decision either way based on if you score round 2 on Tavares' powerful straight right to stout's chin, his punch behind Stout's left ear which cut him and his octagon control/TD attempts versus Stout's superior work rate on the feet most pronounced later in the round.

By Japanese MMA scoring that was a Stout Decision.

By Brazilian MMA scoring that was an [insert Brazilian name] unanimous decision.

I'm curious if anyone had a -3.5/+3.5 bet on Tavares vs Stout at 5Dimes or another book and what the book's ruling was on that bet. Push? Because really that's a -3 fight at worst (29-28 UD) with fair judging so Stout by +3.5 backers got robbed.

As does every other Armenian fighter on the planet it seems!

I expect he'll be at least +300 seeing as Easton has a lot of hype, he's a late replacement and intending to move to Flyweight. I expect Easton to show his superior ground game in this one but we'll see. Papazian could catch him standing and finish with knees or something...stranger things have happened

Yeah Stone would have had the grappling to compete with him, not sure if Papazian does tho

The fact that he hadn't fought in almost two years may explain his slowing down in the second round. U see Papazian (a blue-belt under Crane) tapping a Lloyd Irvin black-belt...interesting. And just because he's Armenian doesn't automatically mean he's an elite Judo practitioner, I'd be interested to see where u witnessed his judo tosses in action (from what I've seen he likes the double-leg takedowns), hit me up with a link brah?

I've seen him in person. Dude has nice judo throws and great submissions. He can get a kimura or armbar on just about anyone at 135, IMO.

Anybody who comes up training under Gokor Chivichyan is pretty much an elite judo practitioner.

I'll avoid betting on, but won't bet against. Would feel bad if say Gegard wins and I had bet against him!

                              Easton has footwork?
You mean his wannabe dominick cruz movements? But unlike cruz who moves that way to create openings and to elude, easton seems to move for the sake of moving.

After re-watching Stout vs Lauzon today there's no question not having Tompkins in his corner was the reason he lost. Unreal watching how much of a puppet-master Tompkins was to these guys.

I agree but Lauzon was coming off surgery and a layoff. Definitely not the best lauzon.
