De La Hoya v Pacquiao INITIAL THOUGHTS?
Oscar De La Hoya, boxing's biggest star, will announce Thursday that he will meet pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao on Dec. 6, two sources close to the fight told ESPN.com.

I'm gonna be all over Pacquiao, do you guys think the line on him will be better at open or near close as people may hammer De La Hoya?

I normally would agree with this but the difference here is Oscar will be a bigger favorite than he has been in a while in a big fight situation. By fight time Oscar will be -450 so the late money will probably be on Manny.

I wouldn't take Pacquiao at anything less than +600. Even then, I'd be wary. The only way Pac Man can win is if Oscar is a no-show.

Del hoya still looking for another pay day ?? What weight class would this be at ? I would love to see Pac man win, but Oscar is the bigger guy and more technical boxer. I dont really pay for PPV boxing anymore because the lack of talent and crappy undercards. I would pay to see this one though.

I took a small play on Pac Man at these odds, but am waiting and hoping line moves in favor of better odds on Pac Man.

He was a very solid favorite against Diaz at -400.

I think they would give Manny lass than +500 on this but what if he overpower oscar?..Whew. Pacman is still a powerful and intelligent boxer you know.

I posted the Bookmaker odds several days ago it was Oscar -210, Manny +170. Now Oscar -200, Manny +160. So more money has come in on Manny recently.

I can't believe people are actually saying PacMan will over power Oscar. I really hope you bet Manny and bring the line down even more. Oscar is in great shape and has an incredible chin. Manny is better pound for pound but Oscar is too big for even Manny's heart.

By the way if Manny wins it will only be by decision and it will be because of his volume and speed of his punches not his power. Oscar has faced tons of guys who punch harder than Manny and if you don't know that then you need to do your homework.

I already have 1100 to win 500 on Oscar's money line and then I have 550 to win 500 on Osacr -7 points. If the line stays around -200 I will proably throw another grand on Oscar. This fight really reminds me of Floyd vs. Hatton last year when people jumped on Hatton thinking he actualy had a chance. I think this will be more one sided than people think but I also thought Pavlik would whoop an old B-Hop so maybe I'm wrong again. Luckily Pavlik was such a huge favorite I avoided betting on him.

Pac can't knock delajoya down with a single punch even with his lethal left hand while on the otherhand delajoya can end the fight with a single left hook.

As much as I want Pac to win this one, I see him getting KO'ed and I'm going to need a few singles to console me.

                            Delajoya by KO!

I think you got it all mixed up.. delahoya can't know pac out.. He can't even land a decent punch/combo.. I got a little frustated cuz delahoya didn't even fought like a boxer.. as Bob Arum said "The press is never wrong: they said it was a mismatch for pac.. Yeah it really was a mismatch"
