#425Lost my O2.5 bet on that fight.... fighters who admit things to the doctors/ref have always lost respect in my book. "Can you see out of that eye?" "No." btw I'm blind in one of my eyes so I can tell you that yes it sometimes makes you seem retarded when you don't see stairs/walk into things... however, you're in a fight and throw the towel in on yourself? Pussy.Comment -

#431As well vaughn, are you really that dumb thinking mma fighters number 1 concern is 'insuring their health.'Yep these guys all realize they are completely invincible and no one ever gets hurt.
Let me give you a quick lesson on intelligence since yours is lacking. A smart fighter will fight through injuries. If their sight is off they will quickly realize kickboxing isn't working for them. Therefore, they will look for takedowns/clinch/dirty boxing. Did you know that a common wrestling practice is for a fighter to put a blindfold on during practice? Why, use your imagination vaughn, please answer me, what could the reason be? BTW I wrestled for 2 years in high school.Comment -

#436Originally posted by SportsPedagogyThat drill is not to prepare you for fighting with a swollen eye, it is to get you to have a better feeling for what is going on around you and anticipating your opponents position and movements. Wrestling is different the MMA, there is striking involved. Personally, i wouldnt have stopped, but he did have a nasty cut that could have got worse. I also didnt hear Lentz ask for the fight to be stopped, sometimes the doctors just make that call.
The doctor asked "Can you see out of that eye?" Lentz responded, "No."Comment -

You're right, that is why. I was referring to it since I would expect all mma fighters would feel comfortable on the ground with just 1 eye.

And I would say other than Anderson, Bisping is the best fighter he's foughtComment
