Therefore, they will look for takedowns/clinch/dirty boxing. Did you know that a common wrestling practice is for a fighter to put a blindfold on during practice? That drill is not to prepare you for fighting with a swollen eye, it is to get you to have a better feeling for what is going on around you and anticipating your opponents position and movements. Wrestling is different the MMA, there is striking involved. Personally, i wouldnt have stopped, but he did have a nasty cut that could have got worse. I also didnt hear Lentz ask for the fight to be stopped, sometimes the doctors just make that call.
