Whoever produces boxing events has fallen so far behind the UFC in production quality. This is full of sloppy camera work and mic issues.. I didn't see the rest of the fight but my impression from the clip was that Hopkins faked it. I think the burden of proof is on Hopkins after the ref's official call. A doctor needs to verify shoulder damage. If he can, rule it NC. If he doesn't, rule it TKO (retirement)... Or is that whole idea too invasive for Hopkins?

Who the hell cares if Dawson threw him? There was no reason for Hopkins to lean on Dawson's back in the first place. As usual, BH tries too hard to get under his opponents skin and it backfires.

Can't remember the last time Hopkins hasn't tried pulling some unnecessary shit in a fight. Calzaghe, RJJ, Pascal, Dawson... Every time the rounds are 50/50, he turns into Bernard "Strawman" Oden and feigns injury.

That's the risk you take betting on him.

I don't know whether Hopkins' injury was real, but I do know that if Hopkins has more balance than an 8 year old one legged child, Dawson's "tackle" would not have made him fall over the way he did.

He took a dive.

One thing that is clear in all of this is that Dawson must be taking some new super steroid. It's the only way he could get that much force behind that muay thai trip.
