Hughes +400 (not a play I'd normally make, but I give him slightly more than a 20% chance to win)
Boetsch -140 (wish I snagged him at + odds, but I still like him to win this w/ his wrestling and strength)
Hunt +290 (he seems motivated lately and at the KO power is there - Ben hasn't fought in over a year)
Escovedo +175 (this is a fade to Mizugaki due to his inconsistency, both guys have lost to solid comp)
    Assuncao -110

    Parlays
    Boetsch + Browne 2u to win 2.3u

I like all of these, solid picks once again.

I haven't placed anything in stone yet, but I still think I might pay some juice and make a str8 on Tferg. I feel that confident he will win this one. Ground or feet he is waaayyy better than riley.

I also wanna play boetsch, but need to do my research. Haven't checked the other thread yet, but I asked if V could provide a breakdown.

If anyone can put up their breakdown for this fight I would love it. Super busy these days and have limited time to research unfortunately...

Haven't seen enough from te huna or romero to make a play. From what I have seen tho I wasn't too impressed with either guy. I think te huna's size and superior striking / power will win, but then again I don't know too much about either guy. Why do you all like this one???

Interesting on the escovedo play, I'm gonna look into that one. Mizugaki is solid but he seems to be hot and cold. As heavy a dog as he is now I think cole might be a worthy upset. Props if you hit this one.

Te Huna should take it if he isn't too careless and can finish it early. I still question his gas tank, but believe he will be too much too handle too early against Romero. Lets just hope he doesn't get caught in a sub. I was sweating a few bullets when I had my $ on Gustafsson against Te Huna - he looked pretty damn good until he faded.

Te-Huna apparently didnt have the best of camps for Gustaffsson which may explain his sudden fade. His father was seriously ill and he skipped training sessions so that he could be with him in hospital. Safe to say his mental state wast great either going in to the fight.

I'm big on koscheck inside distance to the tune of about 6 units.

i just don't see how this fight ends any other way than hughes unconscious.

A boring grappling match? Remember Kos is coming off a long layoff

No longer than Hughes. Common thing I keep seeing on forums, people saying Kos is going to be rusty, ignoring the fact that Kos went 5 rounds in December while Hughes last fought in November (a month before Kos) and lasted 21 seconds. So Hughes has spent less than 4 minutes in the octagon since his "fight" with Renzo back in April 2010. Renzo shouldnt be fighting in the UFC, that was a gift to Hughes from UFC and a walk in the park for Matt.

Matt hasn't had any competition in a while. His last competitor was BJ Penn and that ended in a 21 second KO. Koscheck finishes this in round 1. I would be surprised if this fight went the distance.

Browne's conditioning in the Kongo fight doesn't make you nervous? Broughton is a scrub, but he keeps coming. I have visions of Todd Duffee in this fight.

Te Huna didn't get Gustafsson down with conventional wrestling takedowns, he used sacrificial throws for the 2 tds which Gustafsson seems to have no defence for.

I actually think Romero is the slightly better grappler in this and I've bet on him, Te Huna has shown only basic stand up. Both fighters are pretty raw so anything could happen.

Exactly my thought. I have a small bet on Broughton to win in round 3.

Hughes and Koscheck at 1.5 rounds? HAHAHA, two good wrestlers with mediocre striking...this looks like a 3 round battle to me. Booked it.
