I enjoy it for the one on one aspect as well, sometimes in team sports one or two bums can really make life difficult for you. As far as the performance enhancers go, no I really don't think so. Someone else pointed it out earlier in this pics thread, but his chest doesn't look like what you'd imagine it does. Leads me to believe he just piles on the weights, does a little cardio, and other than that he's a healthy 22yo athlete, pro sports run in his family.

I don't question his heart, last year when he lost to Federer in Wimbledon, he actually cried to his staff and said he may never get another opportunity to win Wimbledon again like that. He really worked his ass off and matured on grass so quickly, I can do nothing other than salute him, and thank him for always playing his best. He never takes days off unlike Djokovic, no matter what tournament he's in, Federer too, they take each tournament seriously and give spirited efforts always.

Looking forward to the next Slam...

punch, do you think calzaghe has the power to get to roy? i know tarver caught him on the chin with the great punch in the 2nd round, and glencoffe pounded him for 8 or 10 rounds, whatever it was, but other than that, his fights have been going the distance, wouldnt you say tito has more power than calzaghe but he still couldnt get roy outta there, am curious to hear what you think

Jones might be able to hang with Calzaghe for the first half of the fight but after this it's all downhill. Calzaghe probably will not catch him with one punch and starch him but I see his punches taking their toll later in the fight.

IMO, Trinidad doesn't have more power than Calzaghe - Calzaghe is the naturally bigger fighter. His weight has been consistent throughout his career while Trinidad began his career at 140 lbs.

Although Calzaghe tends to slap with his punches at times, the accumulative effect of his punches will take their toll on Jones around round nine or ten when the referee will step in to stop the fight.

Calzaghe is an overrated slapper who might finally be facing someone faster than him.

Either Calzaghe UD if Jones doesn't have it or a vintage Jones performance that results in a KO, this is no friendly Trinidad match.

A decision seems likely but I wouldn't bet big on Jones scoring a KO.

I don't like the bet, honestly. I think the only way Calzaghe wins is by decision. Hopkins got an early knockdown against Calzaghe in their bout but came back to earn the decision. However, at no point in that fight did I ever think Hopkins was in danger of a knockout or stoppage and I would expect the same out of the Calzaghe-Jones fight. The only difference is Jones and his left counter. Jones has more potential to catch Calzaghe hard while Hopkins grabbed and held Calzaghe much of the fight. I really don't think Calzaghe's slapping will do much to Jones other than win rounds. I think its either a Jones KO or a Calzaghe decision in this one...

Well that's why they fight the fights and we bet the bets- we'll see. A Jones KO that you think is possible would cash , wouldn't it, as long as it wasn't in the last half of the last round. Jones couldn't KO a fattish Trinidad who hadn't fought in ALMOST 3 YEARS and was fighting 23 pounds above his prime weight. How is he going to stop the strong chinned Calzaghe? The last time Jones stopped someone....6 years ago. Hopkins a much better chin than Jones and he's punch and clinch, hit and hold, all night and I'll say it again, he still went down to his knees and faked a low blow to get a 3 minute rest. Jones does not hold... he's going to have to use those 40 year old legs for 11.5 rounds. And no, Zags isn't a one punch KO artist, so he'll do it with volume. I've seen Jones just cover up on the ropes and wait for his opponent to stop punching, well there could be a point where Zags keeps punching and punching until the ref steps in. Obviously with a +200 bet, I 'm going against the oddsmakers and I think there's some value with people holding onto the memories of Jones blazing prime which was 8-10 years ago.

Thanks dude, man, I'm feeling the pressure, I better not mess up too many picks. You know I live in Vegas and man, Santa Barbara is a godsend in the summer for someone who's in the desert, so don't be suprised if I take you up on that. Yeah. I agree that a Jones KO isn't all that likely. That's why I'm somewhat leery of the under. I guess I really didn't explain that well. While Hopkins did use the low blow to rest, even though it was excessive, I don't know that without it, Calzaghe would have gotten a stoppage. If Jones lays on the rope, like he sometimes has a tendency to do, he's done but I think he knows that and will avoid the ropes as much as possible.
