there is a chance. i never saw a fighter believe he can beat floyd the way victor is believing. I think as long as victor goes for broke and forces floyd to stand with him, he has a shot.
I dont see victor hyping him self up this much only to act like mosely against manny, and judah against khan.
Remember, victor has knocked down every opponent he has faced. FLoyd is elusive but nobody goes untouched in a fight. One good shot could do it.

yh i agree with shady ,Ortiz does have a chance in my opinion thats why im staying away from the ML. The most secure play i see is the Over 11 rounds, i dont see either boxer losing via KO.

No. Don't forget Victor has only had one fight at Welterweight, in which he was a +400 underdog. His fight before that was a draw to Lamont Peterson. His first defense will be his last. I guarantee you he will be eating straight rights all night long.

Berto was not himself vs ortiz. He was diagnosed with some condition after the fight I forget what it was. I think if berto/ortiz fought again now berto would whoop ortiz's ass.
Should be interesting to see floyd's gameplan. Ortiz is a converted southpaw (Naturally right handed) I think if floyd avoids getting hit too much on the chin he'll be fine. (Victor's doesn't know how to spell defense and will probably run in to a lot of punches.)

I'm guessing since the ML is around -750 on Mayweather a lot of people will have HUGE bets on Mayweather thinking that he is a lock to win to win the Fight. If he somehow lost Vegas sportsbooks would make sooo much money.
It was smart for Mayweather to make Ortiz sign the rematch clause saying that if Ortiz won he has to fight Mayweather again.

There is a chance. He has some power and Floyd seems to have the most trouble with guys who come right after him. That said, I don't think +500 is enough. Ortiz's chin, hand speed, foot speed, and frequent mental lapses make him more like a 20: 1 dog imo. I think Floyd will toy with him and win by late round TKO after a sustained beating.

Mayweather hasn't fought a young fighter like Ortiz in a long time.
If Mayweather wins this one then Fade Mayweather in his next 4 fights at the same amount when the odds are at +500, If you believe Mayweather will lose in the near by future.

I was at the Mandalay Bay last month and Emanuel Steward walked into my elevator. I asked him if Victor had a chance and he says he has a damn good chance and was shocked that Floyd took the fight with him. Said that Victor is bigger than Floyd and thinks he will be agressive. Also thinks the time off is going to catch up with Floyd this time. He was a real nice guy.

Steward was a great trainer but he hasn't picked a fight correctly in years. Ortiz will have to win by ko/stoppage, because he won't win enough rounds to get a decision. Floyd is the greatest boxer of his era and if he ever loses it will be to father time, not another fighter. Right now he still has it.
