Okay I get it I'm a idiot for betting on Shogun and winning money.

The people who lost money betting on Forrest are geniuses.

Hmm let me guess all you guys who thought there was value on Griffin probably think there is value in betting on Matt Hughes in his next fight.

Dude. You won. You were right. Now get over it.

Nothing sadder than a guy who wins and isn't happy until a bunch of degenerate gamblers on an internet forum give him praise for it.....(present company excluded).

(Raises hand with a sheepish look on his face)

Poor guess on my part, but I stand by the "value" I saw in the play. However after watching Countdown and hearing his wife was due in a few days, I really thought twice about my bet. One constant I've noticed is guys who just had or are close to having a baby, bet against them.

You were right on Shogun. Judging how the fight went it was probably the right side based on the line. If Forrest had come in with a better strategy he could have won and that and other factors, are why people bet on him. Losing small plays on dogs doesn't hurt as much as losing bigger plays on favorites. It has already been said though that the right side is the side that has the right line.

As far as "value betting" Matt Hughes, you wouldn't do it at the +190 it is right now? What if it was +500 or maybe +1000? Is there no value then? Why don't I throw in +100000, is there "value" then? I don't care what you think, Diego does not win this fight 100% of the time and if you think this you will lose money. Take some advice from others and figure out how to bet. Your bet was good, but nothing you said had anything to do with the line and that is the key to betting. It's already been said, instead of just picking a winner, pick the guy that you think wins the right percentage based on the line.

If you had said that you thought the price was good and stated the price range that you felt held value on Shogun you would probably not be getting bashed right now. It really isn't that impressive though that you hit a decent size favorite.
