Dana White has the right idea to put a free Fight Night up against the debut card of Affliction MMA. I think the Fight Night card is terribly weak though. If I had to choose it wouldn't be close. The Affliction card is so much better. Dana needed to put up a stacked card to get true MMA fans to watch the UFC over Affliction. I have a DVR so it won't be an issue. The only two things that intrigue me about Fight Night are Anderson Silva because it is Anderson Silva, and Anthony Johnson. I literally thought Johnson killed Tommy Speer and would love to see him KO someone like that again.

I am going to miss UFC 86 despite wanting to see Griffen v Rampage, because they scheduled in on a busy July 4th weekend.
I am going to get Afflication Banned for sure HOFF. I agree it looks like a great card. I think the Fight Night might kill them off since most people on the fence will go with the free option. But I am going to support and enjoy a good alternative MMA card while it is around.
UFC just added Jesse "JT Money" vs CB Dollaway to the fight night. With many fans watching Ultimate Fighter, I think this could be a bigger draw than even Silva. I will be DVRing that for sure.
Is great to have some competition to the UFC, I just hope they can make a go of it. Fedor vs Couture would be a great follow up when Couture contract/legal mess is cleaned up.Comment -

Yeah this Fight card isnt great , They Planned it so late only had a few weeks to get the card ready . They wanted Vera vs W Silva but Silva said he need more time to train and denied the fight .The Afflication card is stacked but i dont think the next car will be that stacked again maybe Couture vs Fedor ? But Affliction cant pay all those top fighters to fight every card . we will see how the PPV sales are for Affliction i will order this and watch or DVR UFN . Dana is just try to have people not watch AFFLICTION card and have free UFC that night . When CBS had Kimbo fight he tried to counter back and show Ultimate Iceman and W Silva vs Liddell .
The only fight im really looking foward to seeing is Hermes Franca vs Frankie Edgar . Should be fight of the night . BTW yes Robyn way to early to see Taylor back .I dont want to see CB again either he lost me allot of cash that night and was a little baby .Comment -

CB Dollaway vs Jesse Taylor still might not be shown as it will be an undercard. Who wants to see that fight anyway? It's obvious they wanted CB to win TUF, and Dana is probably pissed the contract went to Amir. Why are they giving Taylor a chance this quickly? His style sucks, and he is boring to watch.

Actually I don't think Dana White should've put up opposition........only hardcores will watch Affliction, and they'd be paying for it anyway. Dana's in danger of diluting and overexposing his product. UFC is the big leagues and everyone else is burning money, no need to overextend yourself.Comment -
I have been to 19 UFC events and every single king of the cage in San Jacinto as well. I have a lot of friends who fight and are involved in mma. It sucks cause I go to Vegas all the time sometimes once a month even for the smaller ones.. everytime i go i blow around 3 k.. need to stop doing it.. you should go if u do lets meet upהמוסד

Agreed. Look at the talent drop off in TUF. I already think there are too many fighters in the UFC. I think Dana needs to use the WEC as a proving grounds. Then let the up and comers fight at the free Fight Nights. Then use all of your big names at the PPVs. That way you can watch fighters make a name for themselves and you'll actually want to see them when they fight in a PPV. A lot of the UFC cards have 1-2 decent fights scheduled and the rest look like fillers.Comment -
If I could bet on it, I would be money the JT and CB fight gets shown. After all the hype about JT getting kicked off, this is a must watch for Ultimate Fighter fans.
I agree the quality of the winners of Ultimate Fighter are dropping off, but it still is doing ok ratings and makes for good TV, so it should stick around a while longer.

For the UFC being the big leagues i sure as hell would like to see them match a card like this one with Affliction. This card is hands down better then any of the cards i have seen from the ufc in years. You have six fighters on the card that headline main events in the ufc and this doesn't even count Fedor. Yeah Hoff they already said they would have another show in the Fall so probably ever 3-4 months a show till they get more fighters then i could see every 2 months if it gets big next year. They are Hopeing Randy Coutures Legal issues will be over with UFC so he can fight Fedor . Dont get me wrong Affliction has money wth Affliction clthing brand ,Trump and Golden boy promoting this Org . Looks like IFL will be officailly Bk bye the end of the year. We will see how Elite does . Afflicition could be getting some more fighters soon from UFC/IFL/ELITE XC since ther willing to pay fighters good money .They just need decent PPV buys to keep a float till they start growing.
I will be ordering Affliction and agree its good for the sport .Dont want Dana just being the bigshot and not paying his fighters what there worth ( since there is no competition ) There is plenty of room for other ORGs and plenty of fighters out there .Comment -
