pretty sure its 3 rounder. they announced munoz-leben at ufc 138 to be the first non-title 5 round fight.

I agree, I think ellenberger will be way too much for shields and will KO him. He defended rocha's onslaught on the ground, therefore I don't think shields will get a sub if it goes to the ground. Wish this line was out on my book, probably won't be for a while either...

Dude's a beast and on a tear...nevermind the Condit fight he got robbed because the judges were mentally challenged...he's improved much more than Story over the last few years and is a bad matchup for anyone not named GSP...but that won't matter because Diaz is gonna take GSP's belt.

I favored Shields and now this gives me more confidence. I think Shields wins at least 60/40 against any WW that's not GSP.

Ellenberger's wrestling really isn't that great to me and he's gonna need to stop the takedown or Shields is gonna expose his vulnerability off his back like Condit did. Remember, Condit was passing like crazy on Ellenberger after surviving his onslaught. I think Shields wins and may play it if it stays low -100s.

Ellenberger's striking is also quite-one dimensional. He doesn't use combos or set things up with a jab, mostly revolves around a big overhand. Against a lot of opponents its enough though because he's built like a tank and has a lot of confidence and power in his basic striking!

Yeah, he looked like total cockshit against Rocha. The fact he was talking so highly of himself around that time and wanting big fights, such as Fitch, it really made me stop liking him. I don't like Fitch at all and wish he had to work for a living and didn't get paid much to fight, but he'd easily beat Ellenberger.

Remember Ellenberger's fight with John Howard? Howard made him look terrible standing. Ellenberger was gunshy as hell and wrestled his ass off to win that fight.

I don't put much into that fight. Hendo is known for leaving himself open for takedowns after throwing his haymakers. And I remember Hendo having back issues and basically fighting injured.

If we're using MMAmath, Ellenberger ALMOST beat Condit, but Shields actually did.

Ellenberger < Condit
Condit < Shields
therefore
Ellenberger < Shields

Line looks about right to me. Shields should beat him in the scramble, put him on his back and make him uncomfortable. If Ellenberger can keep it standing he'll make Shields look stupid.
