Odds for Penn vs. Condit?

Condit -120 sounds perfect to me.
I personally think Condit wins this.

No way in hell Penn opens up at -175 I see them maybe be evens or Penn a slight slight favorite but I'd pound the hell out of Condit as an underdog.

wow really? i was gonna go with penn. though the condition that penn shows up to fight is always a wild card i guess.

but he drew with fitch.... not to go with mmath but i feel like fitch would grind condit out easy.

Yeah, Penn's wrestling against Fitch definitely surprised and impressed me. That will be something to take into consideration when betting on this fight.

Condit -130 at opening, then people slam BJ and condit drops to even. Come fight night I am guessing condit will be around -*140 or higher.

One thing I know is that I prob won't play this one... I AM SO STOKED FOR THIS FIGHT I'M JUST GONNA KICK BACK AND WATCH THE BIG SHOW HAHAAA!!!'

This really is one of the best match ups ever imo...! I like condit by late stoppage but I'm heavily biased

Penn has a name that carries a lot of weight but his record doesn't.

1 win in 14 months and he hasn't won 3 in a row in years doesn't warrant anything better

Condit is more dynamic but Penn has betting boxing, better jits, better wrestling.

Penn took Fitch down in round 1 and round 2 in their UFC 127 bout... surprised a lot of people. Can't recall if they were single leg or double leg (er, whatever), but BJ outwrestled Fitch in those first two rounds.

just watched Condit vs MacDonald again on Spike--Rory pretty much landed any punch that was straight down the middle and took Condit down at will. BJ doesn't have Rory's reach though. Watching this fight makes me think BJ will have a significant speed advantage. Rory caught Carlos throughout the fight with boxing that isn't at BJ's level. I think the strength factor will be a wash since Condit isn't extremely strong for a welterweight. The deciding factor for me will be the length of Condit. Also Condit sometimes throws some lazy kicks that can be caught for a takedown if BJ decides he's going to start wrestling as in his last fight. Actually Condit is getting crushed here in rd 2 also..how does he win this?In the 3rd it looks like Rory is toying with him.Ahhh....cardio...Rory looks gassed now,..Rory fadding fast..that could be a big factor against BJ. Anyway obviously I'm a biased observer because I'm a Penn fan but those are some thoughts on the fight. Not betting it but it should be fun to watch

I agree, could see Penn choking him out late on. Hard to call though, huge COndit fan but Im not sure if he has the right style to beat Penn. He doesnt have the wrestling to grind on Penn and bully him like GSP did, and he doenst have the high volume-low risk elusive boxing that Edgar used. So he basically counting on knocking Penn out which as we know is gonna be difficult with Penn's granite chin.

I am curious about Penn's stand-up against Condit...Condit seems to be okay trading blows but part of me thinks Penn will be much more accurate than Condit's previous opponents. I want Condit to win but I wouldn't be surprised to see Penn take it.

Ya I think its a bad matchup for Carlos. Especially if BJ takes him down like he did to fitch. Penn should win the first 2 rounds.

Condit has the best sweeps in the business. May be the difference especially against a smaller opponent.
