I have my doubts the fight ever goes down ,the UFC will probably match Gil up against the Maynard-Edgar winner and then set Masvidal up against someone else for the interim SF belt

I doubt that is going to happen anytime soon. The UFC lightweight division is super deep and they have no trouble finding a contender for the Maynard-Edgar winner. Jim Miller will likely get the next shot if he comes out on top of Benson Henderson.
