Overeem vs Werdum

I'm not really surprised... I'm on Ubereem as well at -260. The man has been on an absolute tear since 2007. I agree that Werdum is the toughest comp. he's faced in a long while though... but the only path to victory I can see for him is a sub. Most expect AO to (T)KO Werdum within 1. He will be way too much on the feet and his TDD has been stellar ever since he packed on the muscle. Werdum will probably have to pull guard to win.

i see overeem as an absolute lock

he will totally destroy werdum

all you need to know is overeem won k1 and is on a tear in mma, and is now super strong, so werdum is going to have to stand with him. then go and watch werdum vs bigfoot, bigfoot drops him about 3 times, overeem will kill him

Werdum hits hard, but I don't see him hitting Overeem. My big thought about the fight is this: their fight five years ago featured a 10 minute first round comprised of mostly clinching. Contrast what Overeem used to do in the clinch then, to how brutally he obliterates guys now. If they clinch like that again, Overeem is going to knee Werdum's guts out.

Also, keep in mind that Werdum's best takedowns are all from the clinch. Just not a good set-up in light of how Overeem's game and physique have evolved.

then i watched it go down and thought there is still value but im not taking it now because its not as good, me being stupid

and now its at -120 or whatever its at

For some odd reason it seems like Werdum is over-estimating his own abilities in this fight, the interviews hes given almost make him seem cocky which I definitely think hurts him in the long-run. I like 'Reem here just felt like the line should have been a little lower.
