I was gonna bet on Pascal, but now I'm avoiding this one altogether.
This has been one of the few times the press clippings and interviews changed my entire view of the fight.
Hopkins just sounds SOOOO much more prepared. He acknowledges that the judges arent to be trusted, and says he is going to go the for the KO (which i hardly believe, and also know to be impossible, but i do believe that he'll really try to dominate the fight). He also says how he has watched the tape and seems to know EXACTLY what he wants/needs to do in there.
Meanwhile, Pascal sounds CLUELESS. Maybe its the language barrier, idk. But he basically said he is going back to what he used to do in training camp, and that his biggest mistake was trying some new things in camp. He hardly acknowledged his mistakes in the ring, and refused to admit he faded in the fight.
Idk. I thought Pascal being in Montreal would nab another close decision because of the judges.
But assuming there are no knockdowns this time, which is very likely, i think Hopkins wins like 8 or 9 rounds in the fight.
The reason I don't want to bet it is because it is in Montreal...
Thoughts?
