I mean in Keith Jardines last fight .. I really did not think it was a draw .

    I had him losing 29-28

So i am a bit skeptical as of recently .

No. Some judges are just plain awful at scoring fights.

Occasionally, Zuffa will bring in certain judges to score fights in different areas of the US, or even different countries. Mark Ratner has a "pound for pound" list of judges, so to speak. When one of them puts forward a good score, he moves them up the list; when one of them puts forward a bad score, he moves them down. The judges residing at the higher end of the list are the ones which will be called upon to judge fights in areas outside of their home state (providing the given jurisdiction agrees to have judges brought in from out of town).

Yes, some judges are paid off or have incentives to make the wrong decisions.

I don't see how there's any incentive for mma judges. No fight is guaranteed to go to the judges so from a gambling perspective why pay off judges if some fights won't make it to decision. I think crowds/cheering for a particular fighter may sway judges opinions sometimes like in the Josh Thomson vs Calvacante fight. Also some judges are just plain retarded.

Perhaps , but don't you think when we place bets on this online sportsbook websites .. that if people place a large amount of bets on a certain fighter .. They will somehow rig the fight or pay off the judges or perhaps even the fighters ?

Let's say you were a fighter .. And over half a million people placed bets in favour of your opponent .

And someone came to you and offered you a million $ to Lose on purpose .

Would you not do that ?

The Anthony Johnson vs Josh Koscheck fight was highly suspicious too .. It's like Anthony Johnson gave him that fight and his back .

Personally I think they much rather pay off the judges then the fighters .. as Judges can be bought easily in my opinion ... but who knows .

          Just my perspective .

Anthony Johnson got submitted easily because he stinks off of his back; he wasn't paid off to lose. Keep in mind that he was on the verge of a four fight win streak and possibly a crack at the title at the time. That kind of success is invaluable, so even in the highly hypothetical situation that he was offered a large sum of money to throw the fight, there's not a chance he would have agreed to it.

Let's try to keep this rational.

What's your opinion on the Joe warren vs Marco fight ? for bellator 41

                30-27 29-28 29-28

In favor of Joe warren ? that was insane ..

I'm pretty sure I along with almost everyone else thought Marcos was 29-28 .

he only lost the last round .

fights like that make me suspicious .. especially when ALL 3 judges score the fight in favor of Joe warren ?

wow ... it left me speechless .. and I watched that live

The 30-27 scorecard was ludicrous, as Galvao obviously won the second round. 29-28 in favour of Warren isn't totally outrageous, given that the first round was fairly close, but I absolutely agree that 29-28 in favour of Galvao was the deserving score.

In that instance, I think it was a case of the judges (wrongly) prioritizing Warren's control against the fence over the damage that Galvao was inflicting on the feet. Mistakes like that happen fairly frequently unfortunately.

It just sucks because the only ones getting screwed is the ones that place bets online and the fighter .

Besides they are "judges" They should be far more qualified then me or you to Judge a fight .

They get payed to judge a fight and yet many times they get it wrong .

It's sad .. I just hope none of that happens at UFC 129 if it does go to the judges .

another fight that in my opinion was rigged .. was the first Lyoto Machida vs Shogun Rua fight .

                      THAT WAS INSANE ..

I can guarantee that there will be at least one stupid scorecard turned in at UFC 129. Incompetent judging is a staple of every event.

That's a really dumb argument. Who is the one giving the fighter a million dollar signs to lose?

If somoene came to you and offered you a million $ to suck a dick.

GSP should just run into the octagon and tell the judges that he's not impressed by their performance everytime they make a bad decision.

If everyone in the crowd attacked and brutally beated the judges after every fked up decision .. I bet ya the Judges will think twice before giving there scores lol

As for the Warren decision, why would they pay a judge to score it 30-27 when he could have easily scored it 29-28 and people would have grumbled but not been irate over it. I think it was a legit score by that judge and he should be let go.

There is corruption everywhere in everything...however...a lot of the judges are completely incompetent.

Cecil Peoples for example is an absolutely HORRIBLE judge, and a horrible ref....but he still has a job.
