    BERTO-ORTIZ Over/Under 9.5 rounds?
Kinda like the Under at +105 but im not sure.

I dont think Ortiz will handle Bertos quick hands and sharp punches very well. But at the same time he seemed to handle Petersons hardest shots with no problem (although peterson is a very soft puncher.)

If Berto can put together some combinations instead of his one punch and move style, i dont think Ortiz can last.

And if Ortiz is to win its going to be by KO for certain.

    Thoughts on this one?

with the way ortiz responded to Maidana i would be very hesitant to bet the over on Ortiz.

i think this is a good bet to avoid

ortiz is moving up in weight....that`s an issue.....

but ,imo, this is probably berto`s toughest fight...he`s in with a guy who could conceivably hurt him....

the odds are very high(you can get almost +400 with ortiz)....i`m gusessing that`s because he gave away a sure win vs peterson....and maidana`s surprisingly tough fight with morales....

at +400,i might bite with ortiz(i don`t see this as a real easy big fave fight to bet on)...another lefty (luis collazo) gave berto some real trouble....and ortiz can punch a bit...

No ortiz has been having trouble making 140 for a while now 147 should be fine for him as he's a big junior welter.

he`s weighed a bit over 140 in a few fights....but he hasn`t fought as a full fledged welter yet....

he`s stepping up to fight a quicker, hard punching undefeated welter for the first time...without a tune-up...

                that`s an issue,imo...

yet,i still think a play on ortiz is well worth a shot at nearly +400...

I think I'll put Ortiz itd in a couple small parlays at +619. Not sure he'll win, but he should be Bertos toughest test to date.

Berto wins although I could see him winning a decision. He's HBO's posterboy so Ortiz would never get the nod.

Berto knocked down twice in the 1st only one counted. Ortiz down once in the 2nd. This fight might get crazy

Crazy fight. I'm glad Ortiz got the decision even after the bullshit point deduction. I thought he might be getting the screw job by the judges.

i like how ortiz calls himself "king of the welterweights" now. the kid quit like a broad 2 years ago and would get stopped easily by manny and floyd. beating berto is no huge feat. the kid was overhyped from day one and i said it here.

great fight and glad i took the dog in what i thought was a slightly inflated line. guessing the rematch happens in october with berto being around a -160 favorite.

So much for Vicious Victoria never getting a decision over Berto.
