MAIDANA KO MORALES, and KATSIDIS over GUERRERO
I really hate the Morales-Maidana fight. Its a mismatch on so many levels. Morales is so far past it, and has fought sparingly over the last few years.

I think Maidana walks through him EARLY. Fighters who are legit shot become very slow starters and become very susceptible to being ran over early or being caught cold.

Not to mention Maidana is BY FAR The best fighter Morales has every fought above 135, and by far the biggest and strongest above 130.

I like Maidana by KO within 6 rounds. To strong and to much pressure. Morales will box nicely for a round or two but once bombs start landing it won't be long. I wish Morales the best, I love the guy, but its a terrible fight for a guy so far past it.

    ----

I also really like Katsidis over Guerrero. I have a feeling that He will be maybe as much as a +200 dog, which is great.

Katsidis has an OVERWHELMING experience advantage, having been in rough learning experience fights with the BEST lightweights of his time (Casamayor, Juan Diaz, and JMM) and some very solid contenders like Kevin Mitchell, Escobedo, and Amonsot.

He's LOST to the best fighters he's fought like Casa and Diaz and JMM, but he has proven he is right under that elite level by POUNDING some very good contenders.

Meanwhile Guerrero just recently stepped up and fought a pretty worn down Casamayor and looked mediocre.

Guerrero I've thought always had some sort of special potential, but as far as I'm concerned he is a bit of wasted talent.

Every time a fighter has applied pressure he has gotten flustered. I look back to that fight against Yordan where he essentially quit once he got hard hit a few times and got cut.

Katsidis is going to BRING it with hard sharp punches to the body and head. You have to be MENTALLY and physically prepared for a way when you get in the ring with Katsidis, and I don't know if Guerrero will ever be mentally ready for this kind of a fight.

Guerrero will win the early rounds easily as he is the classier, technically better fighter who throws sharp straight punches. But I fully expect Guerrero to fold in on himself once Katsidis starts landing his combinations and that left hook he has improved on. The quicker Guerrero gets cut the sooner he collapses.

I like Katsidis in the later rounds or by close but clear decision.

Maidana inside the distance looks good.

I kind of like Guerrero to beat Katsidis, his size and long arms should help him outbox Katsidis. Guerrero's cut in the Yordan fight was caused by a headbutt, not punches. Katsidis has a lot of miles on him, Guerrero has the momentum and should win a decision imo.

I like Katsidis in this fight also, but he's not going to be a dog. MGM already has him at -130 and imo offshore will likely open up larger. I didn't see Guerrero's fight with Escobedo, but his fight before that against Cassamayor was not at all impressive.

I definitely like Maidana to win over Morales by pretty easy stoppage as well.

Still need to watch more film, by my initial impression is that Katsidis beats Guerrero. I actually would've expected Katsidis to be a slight underdog.

I was reading some press clippings today where Maidana said he is gonna come out guns blazing, which bodes well for an under bet.

And Yea i was positive they'd put Katsidis as the underdog, but apparently not. I'm still gonna pound Katsidis I think he has the right style and the right king of ambition to overwhelm a fighter like Guerrero

Morales is losing for sure, just not sure how many rounds he will last.

I like the Maidana by KO play

5dimes has Katsidis as a +270 underdog. Guerrero's @ -390. At that price Katsidis is worth a play.

                    ... that's unreal.

I actually just read an article on yahoo about how Guerrero hasn't been able to train properly for his last bunch of fights because of his wife.

I guess it makes sense, and its made me a little wearier to putting money on Katsidis, but I'm not sure I buy it.

Well...that was quick. The Katsidis line has dropped to +220 on 5Dimes.

thats a very bad line from 5dimes IMO.

I would have expected +200 but close to +300 is a little ridiculous for a guy like Katsidis who has been around the block more then once and has never shown any signs that he might be washed up or anything close to that.

I'm not surprised people pounded it

I use bookmaker and if bookmaker has a line like +270 id jump on it

just a heads up now that the lines are posted...katsidis suffered a 3/5(depending on who you believe) stitch cut in training about a month or so ago....and he`s still fighting...that`s not an insignificant cut..particularly given katsidis` style...

it`s about 5 paragraphs up from the bottom....

Any of you guys see Katsidis' interview on boxingscene? Guy looked drunk or something, I like Guerrero to win that fight even more now that i seen that interview.
