Pat Barry v. Kongo - on VS 4

As much as I like Pat, I think he loses this fight. Kongo will probably get it to the ground and pound him out within 2 rounds. Barry still has not shown me any kind of ground game whatsoever. After he gets a couple of "cup chiecks" I expect him to break down. I like the fact that Barry is coming off a win and Kongo is coming off a draw. And Kongo lost two in a row before he beat Buentello. What would you expect the lines to be? Kongo as a dog would be nice!

Spot on..was just bout to say that he has 1 win in last 4 so it's not even like Barry can hope that Kongo rests on his laurels and initiates a stand-up war just to prove he's a better striker! He'll look for the clinch against the cage and takedown within opening minute in order to guarantee the victory.

This fight could end up going a lot like the Al-Turk fight. I really hate seeing Barry get beat up... but until he becomes a complete MMA fighter, it's pretty much inevitable against some of these guys.

Unless they hang a really soft line up there, I think we might have to take something higher than that, with little hope of people betting it down. Not an awful lot of Barry support, this isn't like the glorious Feijao/Henderson fight where people will think Barry + 140+ is a steal. I think we might have to stomach Kongo -200 (vaughany with your damn Paddy power please disregard this, you bastard)

ha yeah, if sportbet/5dimes release the lines we might be in luck and get a similar Schaub/CC line opener, if it's bookmaker as usual who set the line then a lot more likely to be -200 or worse.

Tis possible....but Kongo didnt even bother standing with an inferior striker in Buentello and was relentless with his takedowns. Also, though less relentless with the takedowns, the situation was similar against Hardonk and Evensen who he took down 2 or 3 times before finishing with GNP.
