I took that in as well. Nice to see the youth do well. Lot of Freshman. Too bad none of my boys from MN got a title. Had three in the finals though so it was entertaining. And Iowa couldn't close it out! PennState's first BigTen title since they came to the BigTen. Nice to see. That program should be tough for years to come imo. I've been to wrestling nationals 4 times since I graduated college in 2003. Very entertaining crowd. Packing 20K wresting fans into a downtown area make the bars come to life in between sesions.Comment -
Yeah it was fun to watch Cael Sanderson really has penn st rolling. Im a big ED Ruth fan. Love me some Big Ten wrestling i was looking for Tom erickson but didnt see any purdue wrestlers. Gopher kevin steinhaus almost got one.Comment -
BigDay you live in minny? You follow high school wrestling? Apple valley high i just got done watching the cheesehead my boys from clovis out here in cali brought me footage them apple valley boys are no joke. cheesehead is a tough tourney clovis placed 5th there i think and they just won state here and we dont have classes or divisions here in cali all the high schools face each other at least 1000+ high schools with alot of kids ... says something about the cheesehead tourney.Comment -
Steinhaus has definately been one of our leading freshman. It seems like he is in every match that he westles in.
Apple Valley is actually where I live.
Been a Gopher season ticket holder since 2003 when I graduated from college. And I go to almost every AppleValley duel. Apple Valley's program is honestly like watching college wrestling. Very technically sound and very motivated kids. I wish they would get rid of the divisions here also. Sometimes there are some kids in the lower division that you'd like to see wrestle the 3A wrestlers as they would give them a run for their money.Comment -
