Fickett v. Veach

This is an interesting fight. I know Fickett was battling some drinking problems and not trianing much when he lost 8 of 10 fights not too long ago. But, the Shine LWGP seems somewhat impressive.

Anyone hear about his training for this fight. Any thoughts here. I lean Veach as a dog early as I think he ican equal Fickets wrestling and grappling and may have an edge standing with more power and more agressive top control. Hard for me to pull the trigger though as I havnt had time to watch any tape yet.

Veach is a late replacement for McKee (5 days notice), not tht that matters as much at this level and against a guy like Fickett, plus I think Veach fought end of Jan so should be in decent shape.

Also, Rodney Wallace is now +125 against 13-6 Emanuel Newton?

I had wallace in his last MFC fight. Despite winning, he looked like crap -- way too tentative . Newton should be able to out wrestle( not the best takedowns but has crazy strength) and out grapple him. Slight stand-up edge for Wallace

Not sure, dont get HDnet anymore and havnt watched an MFC card in 1.5 yrs. Hard to get around to watching the tapes as im short on time lately. If I recall, Newton should have a size advantage, can take a punch, but Wallace definitely the quicker guy with better wrestling.

How did he look in the Heath fight? If I recall he won it with takedowns and top control as I thought he would. But he could have more difficulty taking down Newton.
