i`ll say one thing...the pinoy fan base is an amazing thing to behold....
these mofos are about as rabid as anything i`ve ever seen....
when a filipino is fighting, they dominate every board...every article comment section...
it`s hilarious reading their comments alongside every stream...the insults and nasty comments in broken english hurled at anybody that dares say anything negative against one of their homies...
a guy could make a bundle with a torch and pitchfork concession at one of their events....
amazing dudes(and dudesses),they are... ...loyal to a fault

was one helluva fight...looked at times like both guys might get the finish.....i`m guessing that jones will try and use the length and the jab in this one...i doubt he wants this to end up being the firefight the 1st one was....
maybe jones by decsion wth a small hedge on karrass inside?....i don`t see karrass copping a decision here now that jones has been in with him already......
tough one to call...
this is a serious twinbill....top drawer...

i picked karass, the line offers tremendous value in a fight that should be really close.

donaire/montiel live weigh-in stream...6 pm eastern...5 minutes...
i`m biased...but i thought cochulito looked very strong...and unless he had shoes on,the heights were very similar...

from boxingscene:
"Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas - WBO/WBC bantamweight champion Fernando Montiel and members of his team are upset because the official weigh-in has been pushed back by one hour in order to provide Nonito Donaire with additional time to make weight. Donaire stepped on the scale a few minutes before the official weigh-in was scheduled to begin, and he was reportedly overweight the weight limit by at least one pound."

No philly boy, you're wrong here. Donaire has the power too. His last 10 fights seven won by ko include to that the quality of opponents he fought on those 10 fights. While Montiel fought sub-bar figthers who ranks 250,256 in rankings on his last5 fights. I have donaire winning by ko, donaire is faster imo considering his height and reach advantage on 5'4 montiel.

i don`t know where this info comes from...but it`s a little skewed...in his last 3 fights, montiel beat one guy one would consider a jorneyman((soto),who he dispatched in 2 rounds...
he fought a regarded opponent in concepcion, who he dispatched in 3 rds...a guy that less than a year earlier took donaire the full 12...
prior to that,he travelled to japan to fight what many thought might have been the best bantamweight in the world in hasegawa....montiel was the underdog in that fight.....and he stopped hasegawa in 4...it wasn`t an easy fight while it lasted...going on the road vs the #1 guy in the world is never easy...
i don`t want to get lured into denigrating donaire to defend montiel..he has some important advantages here(length/quicks/youth...that crazy jab/uppercut)..he`s a fantastic fighter...this should be a great fight...but it`s universally acknowledged that of the two, montiel has seen the much better competition(particularly carrying this weight)...and some of the best he fought, were on the road...
he beat z. gorrse in the phillipines(as i`m sure you are aware)...
this is donaire`s second real fight at bantam in a long time...his first vs an opponent that he`ll have to respect..sidorenko was a protected fighter who can`t punch and seldom ventured forth outside of his home turf...i`m still wondering why his people threw him to the wolves vs donaire(maybe they took the cash and considered it his swan song....i don`t know how they figured sidorenko would beat donaire )
not saying montiel wins...he`s not favored...he`s now a better than 2-1 underdog....i`m just just trying to keep it real...so guys aren`t swayed by biased information..
we`ll find out tonight whether perception equals reality...
should be a great,great fight..

Honestly, I'm tempted by Montiel's current odds. I loved Donaire at -220 or less but I might actually like Montiel at +265 even more. still not sure if I want to buy out. might add a little more insurance on Montiel by tko.
Gl with your play rocky. early tko for montiel would be fine by me.
yeah, i could a waited, got free money, and then put some more on monteil

I also bet on Daws... got him at -110 which I think was a steal. I'm going to the Montiel/Donaire fight as soon as the SBR poker tourney is over. Pretty pumped up about that... I'm thinking of throwing a few bucks on Montiel at that price, but I'm still not sure. Good luck with your bets.
Ended up taking M Jones @ -300 right before the line jumped. I put him in a parlay with Louisville (last night) and Sturm. Both won...just need Jones now.
Good luck

Just for you guys to know, Donaire failed to make the legal weight limit by a lb. They waited an hour for him to drain those 1lb. I still like him to win this fight.
