I said in this thread that Andre has never shown to handle aggression well and Sergei fights aggressive. Sergei kept coming forward, even when he was getting tagged pretty good. Sergei was able to take what Andre dished. Andre wasn't able to take what Sergei dished. Simple as that. Andre wasn't about to learn defense. His disgraceful defensive performances of his last 2 fights should have put that to rest.

Was a very hard fight to watch for either side, especially if you had money riding on it. Had more twists than a M Night movie.

That fight and Fedor diving for a leg lock took a couple of years off my life, I'm sure of it

There was not one moment in the fight were arlovski even came close to finishing sergei or landed any power. The only worry would have been arlovski winning by decision.

ya I had the same feeling going into round 2 of fedor/silva. After how round 1 I knew silva didn't want to stand anymore and figured he would go for the td at the beginning of round 2 and fedor rushed right into. Knew it was over then, silva played him like a sucka.

Especially when Fedor's loss cost me either a 10k or 11k parlay, you can imagine how sick to my stomach I felt during that second round, right from the first few seconds when Bigfoot got the takedown. And then when Fedor miraculously surivived and towards the end of the round went for the leglock I had a moment thinking "he's gonna pull off another miracle!!!" and then I was still hoping for a miracle in the third round when the fight was (rightly) waved off... Hardest fight for me to watch by a country mile.

Yeah, after the first couple minutes I thought my Arlovski by decision bet was really gonna hit. But like Ecco said, as soon as he stopped circling I knew it was over. I was actually yelling at Arlovski through the screen to move away from the cage, and the first time he was tagged I was screaming for him to break away, but he didn't try to create distance until it was too late. Really rough night for me.

Your instinct was right on for this fight, but if you felt that strongly don't blame us for talking you out of a big play. We all give our opinions here, but obviously if you disagree and feel you have a good read on a fight you should just follow your instinct. There are a number of cappers here I really respect, but on occasion I completely disagree with them and bet the other way. I favored Arlovski, but I even said in the first post on this thread that if Kharitonov wins it will be in round 1 and that it probably made sense to hedge with that.

"My feeling is that the longer the fight goes, the better for Arlovski," I still maintain that was correct. Unfortunately for me, the fight just didn't last very long!

No worries. I've been scared shitless to bet heavy since two bullshit fights cost me a bunch(Duffee over Russow and Almeida over Hughes) I'm paranoid of bullshit happening. Sergei could have came to the cage drunk on vodka and lose via TKO due to puking had I bet a grand on him. I don't mind not having that anxiety. I got to relax and watch a good fight.

I think wand was already washed up, but I was very disappointed in Kang.

Edgar and Bisping running around the cage, intending to win via decision against tough opponents fits to me. Of course, they can finish lesser caliber fighters. They are, afterall, good fighters. Doesn't mean they aren't pussies too.

Bisping going for takedowns, despite being a kickboxer by trade, if anything emphasizes he's a pussy. If he stood and traded with Rivera, that would be one thing. He's gonna shoot for a takedown like he has in pretty much every fight. Lucky for him, Rivera sucks on the ground. Not really. He shoots with his head down like a rugby tackle. Awful form. And the only people he has done any damage to on the ground were quitters. Josh Haynes, Schafer, who Bonnar also ground and pounded, Day, who Grove finished quicker, Kang, who's a flake and was gassed to hell after having him beat in the first round. The times he actually tried a takedown on real good MMA fighters, Hendo, whose freestyle isn't even that good, laughed his attempt off, Wand kicked him off and sprang up in seconds and had a tight, bad-form guillotine.
