he was just clarifying his earlier statement of "as soon as movies pay me enough ill quit mma"
like he says he has always planned to retire at 35
if thats his plan and he knows he only doing this for 2 more years i dont see why that wouldnt motivate him loads, he should think 2 more years, stay unbeaten in those 2 years and go down as one of the best lhw fighters ever
i hope he knocks hamill out so bad
ive got too much to lose
I might be hopin Rampage knocks him out as well if I make a play on Rampage KO of the Night! Just saying you don't usually hear comments like these from a fighter before a fight. I don't like to read much in to what fighters say before a fight, usually because they are doing the opposite of this and hyping the fight and themselves, saying how they've never been more motivated, in better shape, blah blah...but Rampage seems to be doing the opposite! Not sure sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing, especially with how confident Hamill seems about the fight. And talking about injuries before a fight can sometimes be a pre-cursor to an excuse, we've all seen it happen with Tito, but maybe Rampage is different and as u say just elaborating on a previous statement.

I think you're gonna lose whatever it is.
Rampage has been to decision 5 of his last 6. Only people he's knocked out in the last 4 years are people he's had legitimate beef with. Otherwise he just has light sparring matches.
This fight is going the distance.

Very true... Rashad and Machida u can forgive him for because at least they have some footwork and head movement, and as we all know Henderson has a solid chin. But failing to TKO/KO Jardine within 3 rounds, and Forrest within 5 rounds does raise some questions I guess, especially as they stood up with him for majority of the time.

This fight is more likely to go the distance, agreed, and it is important to take into account what you said, 5 of his 6 has gone the distance. But it is also important to consider the fact that most of them have been to champions. Machida, Griffin, Rashad, Henderson. Matt hamill will never be a champion and is not on the same level. In addition, this is a clash of a a guy with good hands in rampage, against a guy, without hands in hamill. And the guy that has to grind to win, may not be able to grind. This may end up with KO. + rampage almost finished rashad + hamill gases out when coming in to wrestle.

eh? Don't let this throw you off too much, I personally wouldn't put any weight into those comments, Rampage has and will always be about the money. I doubt very much that his answer would have been any different, at any stage in his career.
I'm much more concerned with his fighting style and his recent form.

Quinton will always be a wild card because he likes fighting and the money that comes with it, but doesn't really enjoy training or the things which are conducive to achieving success. If the guy who fought Henderson walks into the cage, he absolutely blows Hamill out of the water and is probably the most interesting fight for Jon Jones. I lean toward the idea that we won't see that again, but I'm not willing to reject that possibility entirely, since he's already made one miraculous comeback (he was in an absolutely appalling state following the second Wanderlei fight, and looked like he was going to be an also-ran for the rest of his career).

That's what made me think it was a dodgy book. Do you guys think it's worth depositing some money on there for the Browne bet?

Well it might see some action now that there is a comparison
they run a shady operation . stick to B rated books or higher. Only book i use below that is sportbook.com.
Yeah not sure if it's riskier for U.S based users or EU users

The difference between the lines (Struve vs. Browne) at 5dimes and SBG Global make little sense to me. Usually the first bookie to release a line isn't followed by the rest of the bunch until the lines have settled, which should have been the case here because SBG has had the line out for several days or even up to a week. Therefore 5dimes should just have copied the line from SBG as they and all other bookies always do from the one that released lines first.
I think people here are talking too much about lines before they are released by the books (yes bookies have employees reading many online forums). Sure, it's fun to have a discussion going but don't shoot yourself in the foot and give away profit by revealing too much, it's hard enough to make profit these days. The bettors on this forum probably know way more than the punters at the books do, so don't do their job for them.
Just some of my thoughts, no offense.

5dimes/Sportbet released the initial Browne line at +130 about half hour before SBG then took it down so SBG weren't technically the first book to release the line (I got $100 on the +130 at Sportbet before it was removed). 5dimes/Sportbet took down the line partly because they thought SBG copied their line.

That's ridiculous. If you're handicapping correctly your model should be producing a line for the fight, if you don't have a fight thorougly capped before the line is released you're going to miss a lot of value.

I never said you shouldn't have the fight already capped, of course you should have it capped to pull the trigger ASAP when/if the lines that are released offer you any value.

I got Browne. He said he got tired against Kongo, and that he has worked hard since in an effort to get his cardio up. That was the only real edge Struve has on him, as I doubt Struve can take Travis down. Despite the fact Struve says he is now 260 after adding some muscle weight, I think Browne stops him.
Thought I would get him at + money, but -125 is good enough for a strong play here imo. I like the speed of Browne's hands and the power he has. Struve just doesn't move as well, more flat-footed, and I question if his chin can take a power shot from Travis. I see Struve getting stopped at some point.
Well, we'll see. Will add my input on Mir/Nelson soon.

Nice to get a debate on SBG global, I actually didnt now it was rated as shady, the +130 line was so tempting that i just went overboard and forgot which industry i have becomed involved in lately and betted 300 dollars. SBG has now taken down the line, my bet has not yet been canceled, so it will be interesting to see what is going to happen . If they screw me over , we at least know more about SBG and their bizz.

Hopefully those shady f*ckers honour your bet, or at the very least return your stake. Seems like there's more than a few unscrupulous books around.

Rampage gains a lot of weight between camps, as he doesn't train except in the 2 months before a fight. He loses weight well in his camps, though, and never has problems weighing in for his matches.
I question his dedication, and he has mentioned he has injuries from his his long career that bother him.
I wouldn't expect him to be off his target weight, though.
For the record, I got Big Country, Travis, a small play on Alves and I may bet Boetsch if I can get him at + money. I like Travis as I feel his footwork, power, and handspeed is superior to Struve's (when he isn't tiring, that is). If he has diligently worked on his cardio as he has said he has, I feel he will stop Struve at some point. Bummed I didn't get him at + money, though. Thought I would.
What do people think of Demetrius/Torres? I am going to go over this match-up, leaning toward Demetrius. But not sure yet.

I'm leaning heavily toward Demetrius. I think the speed of his takedowns is going to be too overwhelming for Torres.
