    Nelson vs Mir UFC 130
    A heavyweight bout between former champ Frank Mir and fellow contender Roy Nelson is in the works for a planned Memorial Day weekend event expected to be UFC 130.

    A source close to the negotiations told MMAjunkie.com verbal agreements are in place for the heavyweight tilt.

    An additional source said the contract issues that forced Nelson out of an early-year event aren't expected to be an issue.

                                          Love the Rampage vs Silva fight, and if Maynard vs Edgar is at this event then this will be one of the best cards in quite some time.

                                              I couldn't agree more. I don't think Thiago is going to be able to bully Rampage the way he did Vera. It's going to be an interesting fight and I really see Thiago going to sleep!

                                                              The Rampage Silva fight should be awesome. If Silva comes forward it could easily be a short night. We saw what Machida did to him. Even though Silva looked really good against Vera he wasn't really doing well enough on the feet to keep it standing. Rampage will be much harder to take down. Who knows how much he's recovered since his surgery since Vera looked pathetic. Either way with Rampage's takedown defense it's hard to imagine Rampage not winning this fight on the feet.

                                                                  rampage is having a hard time finishing his fights.he knocks the guy down put then he lets them recover.evans,machida both got in trouble in the first round vs rampage.anyway he should still win this fight unless silva can take him down

                                                                              Pettis and jds both said they wanted to fight instead of waiting. 130 is still 5 months away but there doesnt appear to be a spot on the main card for either one of them. Shitty we are going to have to wait 6 months for one or both of these guys to fight.

                                                                                                      I also noticed this, but there was a pretty big difference between him and Rashad. Silva was giving a beating on the bottom and trying to finish the fight, while Rashad was pretty much waiting for a decision win. Silva's fight was exciting. It will be much harder to take Rampage down than Vera though and Silva may be forced to fight most of the fight standing.
