Woohoo, I'm off for the day and can't wait.

Sponge/Woodley should be fireworks! I'll take the dog.
Cormier should win and I'll go w/ St. Preux over Abongo.

Is St Preux gonna come out undervalued for 3rd time in a row?! I got him at +220 against Britt (reached +248) and he was -110 against Radach. Id take him -150 or better this time but I expect it will be more like -200 to -240.

I'll only be making a play on Saffiedine at those odds. He's got a good shot.

Just checking this Amanda Nunes on youtube and she looks really good. Her opponent only has 1 pro fight on her record too, and she is at underdog value. I will more than likely make a play, just trying to figure out for how much.

Her opponent, Julia Budd, only has 1 mma fight, but she's 6-1 as a kickboxer.

Got Kimbo 2 at -170, but then Bookmaker cancelled me, whaaaa!

Her opponent is no slouch. Julia Budd's first MMA fight is also on youtube, and you can see she dominates her first opponent. Julia pretty much wins that fight through being much more physical than her opponent (Shana Olsen). Shana gets in good position to throw her two times, but Julia just muscles her way on top of her. Shana also almost sweeps Julia with a very very basic sweep, but once again Julia looks like she is a weight class above Shana and just barely holds on top control.

I don't really fear Julia's muy thai in this fight, very slow and stiff imo, its just going to come down to whether or not I think Amanda can bridge that physical gap. From what I have seen she certainly is more athletic than Olsen, who looked like a small child. If she can take Julia down, her gnp is really brutal and her control is also pretty good. I think she can stop or decision Julia, its just about being able to get this mountain of muscle down.

I've found it's pretty safe (in long run) to always go with the underdog in female fights unless Cyborg is fighting of course! Gonna wait till late tomorro but will probly put a small play on Nunes.

Yeah that was got me to look at the fight initially. Cyborg fights aren't even fun to watch, like snuff films :/

Not that much should be read in to rankings but this site says that Nunes is ranked 5th in world at 145 and Budd 9th in the world.

Anybody catch the opening lines? Bestfightodds shows that Sportbet/5dimes had Saffiedine as -250 favourite and Woodley +190 dog?

Im gonna try and get Rosi Sexton's thoughts on the fight before I pull the trigger! She might have some more insight on how they match-up as she's a reasonably big player in the Female MMA Scene!

Id also add that Budd holds a Muay Thai win over Gina Carano.

Yeah I saw that, from the couple fights I saw of her she is the Semmy of female kickboxing. Jab jab clinch, jab jab clinch, jab clinch, clinch clinch, into a decision. Her kicks are really slow and just begging to be caught. Her muy thai in general doesn't look like it adapts all too well to mma. She also looked like a fish out of water in the grappling department, although I will admit her sprawl looked fairly good.

Would appreciate Sexton's thoughts on the matter, I do not doubt that she has insight on the matter

Im going to watch some of the footage tonight hopefully. Rosi just had this to say which isnt much use I'm afraid!: "I wouldn't like to call it. Should be a great fight though. Good to see some new talent coming through at 145."

Not a lot I can add to the discussion.

I was thinking the same as you guys with Sponge and Nunes tempting my interest...

I just don't know if I want to lay money down on Nunes after watching Budd completely control Shana....I think if they clinch, Budd is going to push her into the fence and control her.

Sponge has a shot, but I feel like he should be at least +225 before I throw money on him, and that probably won't happen.

Rosi Sexton has a PhD from Manchester University in Theoretical Computer Science, a 1st class Honours degree in Mathematics at Cambridge University, and has just qualified as an osteopath from same uni that I went to!

I believe Nick Thompson was a 3L when he fought Karo Parisian. John Danaher, Renzo Gracie BB and TUF assistant coach, got his Masters from Columbia. That dude is sharp.

Carlos Newton was a pretty smart kid too, I remember him talking about going to Medical School.
