I think so. There's a difference between shooting a low single on Toney and closing the distance on Machida.

randy has pretty good head movement, maybe he can evade some shots and press machida up agaisnt the cage? I would be heavy on the dragon though.

Many people are saying this fight makes no sense. Well, it does. For business building, it does.

Randy knows he is more than likely scheduling an "L," but has a chance to win, just like any other fighter. He is still loved, and will go out with some more dough, and a huge ovation NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS.

Machida needs to be built back up in fan esteem, and what better way to do it than with a "scrimmage" against a legend?

Like I said, I think Randy could clinch Machida and press him against the cage.. but taking him down is a whole different ball game. And even if he does get the clinch I don't see him being able to clinch Machida for 3 rounds.

It's going to be a good fight. Couture will bring it to Machida and when people bring it to Machida usually the fights end up being good. Will also be kind of interesting because Couture will be a different style of opponent to Machida.

I understand what you're saying. I see this ending badly for Randy.
