I think I'm goint to throw a Unit on Volkman. Thoughts?

I took him at +190. McKee's line is getting a little out of hand.

Just posted the play +220. I'm just finding some value here as I think Volkman has good talent and definalty not a public favorite. So I think his line will have value imo. Best of Luck everyone.

I don't understand the line movement. I thought I was getting some value with Volkmann +150 , and I'm honestly confused by the line. We'll find out soon enough.

The books are honestly everywhere on this fight. One of my books still has it at +160. Just Crazy.

I assume McKee is going to revert back to his lay n' pray so he can get a UFC win. He has 18 dec wins. This is just going to be a wrestling match so Volkman does have value.

Volkmann has a better wrestling pedigree. He should win.

Wrestling pedigree and MMA wrestling are 2 totally different things...As well, when 2 wrestlers go at it, sometimes most of the fight stays standing. McKee's standup is much better than Volkmanns. Just something to think about.

Volkmann's name is Christmas for a reason, he will not win on new years.

lets not get confused here....volkmann`s a dog for a reason....
i don`t think anybody`s saying that if somebody put a gun to their head and told them rheir life depended on picking the winner, they`d pick volkmann....
but for gambling purposes,i just think that volkmann at +220 is worth a small play....
we suspect, but don`t know beyond a reasonable doubt, that mckee`s wrestling will carry the day.....
if anybody has a +220 dog that they consider a ",sure thing",please shoot me a message asap....

McKee's wrestling doesn't have to "carry the day." Volkmann's striking is poor, usually these grappler vs grappler matches end up as really bad K-1 bouts.
K-1 McKee will win via decision

Yes, only thing that stopped me from puttin more then a unit on Volkmann and not being totally confident in the play is that he isnt the type of explosive wrestler that McKee is in that you dont tend to see him executing many double leg takedowns with big slams. In other words he is more like Munoz then Maynard in how his wrestling pedigree has transferred to MMA.

are you laying the -200 plus,poppa?...i think the decision prop is the better play,too...
personally,i don`t think either guy is much of a striker...and mckee`s g&p isn`t really even all that prolific, given how many guys he gets on their backs...he only has 3 stoppages via punches....1 in THE LAST 9 YEARS !.....and most of that that wasn`t against ufc caliber opposition
you`d figure that a guy that`s on top as much as mckee is,would have a few more g&p stoppages...
if he wins this,it will most likely be via laying on top of volkmann...he`s the ultimate lay and pray guy....i can see why dana took so long to bring him aboard(given his aversion to boring fighters).....
the distance prop looks like the best wager in this one...

If I had access to fight going to the distance I would be all over it. Sadly I'm laying the -200

Tht is odd! Does tht mean they have Volk and Roberts at really generous odds for SOTN then?

off the board now but last i saw they were both +400, so not very good odds at all imo. Very strange tho.

Yeah terrible odds, Roberts was like +750 at least on UK sites and other three were all +1400 or better.

MMAJunkie give first round to Volkman...seems Volkmann took McKee down but McKee is having more success in the stand up.

Junkie give second round to Christmas, MMAbay gave first to McKee and second to Volkmann. Interesting going in to third round.

Volkmann takes it 29-28
Always good to get off to a good start! Painfully slow fight and crowd booing apparently!

Fortunately I was wrong and Volkmann does appear to have a double-leg takedown!
