This seems like a strong play to me. Shalorus is an excellent grappler, but comes primarily from his wrestling. Don't see him finishing with sub, neither does 5dimes as they give better chance to Palaszewski finishing by KO/TKO than Shalorus by Sub. Palaszewski will be hard to finish and has good cardio. Can easily take third round if come to it.
